desertcart.com : Maesri Thai Masaman Curry Paste - 4 Oz (Pack of 8) : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Restaurant quality. THIS IS IT! Perfection in a can. - I think I tried every single kind of massaman curry paste and most of them are garbage. Mix one can of this with 1 can if coconut milk/cream and you can make anything taste good. I've made a week's worth of chicken (sub beans for vegetarian, maybe even vegan?), basmati rice, onion, carrots and potato and it gets BETTER every day it sits. Don't go over a week though... Even this kind of perfection has its limits. Other tips: no matter what any directions say,add this paste AFTER cooking everything else. It turns sour if you heat it up too much. It's a little spicy to begin with (and I think recent batches have been much spicier than they were 10 years ago) but add red pepper/paprika in the beginning for that "slow" heat and add peanut butter/chopped peanuts at the end for that restaurant-quality finish. Seriously though, I've replicated my favorite restaurant from my childhood and I owe this company my gratitude. Review: Good taste, good supplier - Several orders later they have always arrived on time and as promised (only one can slightly dented ever, but didn't cause any issues). Would recommend

Great paste but half the cans came damaged.
I have been using this paste for years and love the flavor. However, Amazon has been shipping the cans in a flimsy bag causing more than half of them to be damaged. Knowing food safety, it can be unsafe to eat from dented cans. If the cans would come pristine, this would be a 5 star.

Great.
authentic Thai flavor with a perfect balance of spices, making it easy to create delicious curries at home. Has a good kick to it, I just add veggies, coconut milk, and some protein, and serve it with jasmine rice or quinoa. yummy

Love this curry paste
Delicious. Great taste: spicy and not at all sweet (Iโve run into that problem with some brands). More like Thai curry, not Indian curry, however the spice blend can be catered to taste like Indian curry if you prefer that. We use one heaping tablespoon of the red paste to the entire dish then pull some aside for our boys (they arenโt too keen on spice but tolerate some heat). We proceed to add anywhere from 3 tablespoons up to a full can for my husband and myself. In restaurant equivalents, we like to order 3 out of 5 on a Thai scale, not American scale ๐
