This water pitcher is worth every penny I paid for it. I’ve used products like Brita in the past, but I never stuck with them and didn’t feel like they made much of a difference. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but I wanted something that actually removed contaminants, microplastics, and improved taste. After doing some research, I decided to give this one a try. I live in the desert, where the water is recycled and you can clearly taste chlorine. I also live in an older apartment building, so I was concerned about overall water quality for both myself and my dog. This pitcher did not disappoint. I’m very glad I purchased the larger size because my dog and I go through a lot of water each day — I typically refill it twice daily. It was easy to assemble, easy to use, and easy to clean. Once set up, the top opens conveniently for refilling without needing to take the unit apart. The plastic feels sturdy and well-made. It has handles on both sides, making it easy to move around, and since it only has a few components, cleaning is simple. It fits easily on the shelf in my refrigerator as well. Before purchasing, I noticed some reviews mentioning leaking. In my experience, it doesn’t leak — it just drips slightly after dispensing. You simply need to let it finish dripping for a moment before removing your glass. On the positive side, the spout is very easy to use one-handed, which isn’t always the case with other pitchers. Filter cost was also important to me. This unit has two filters: one that lasts about a year and another that lasts about two months. Replacement filters are reasonably priced. The water quality is excellent. I had been drinking tap water for years, and the first glass I poured from this pitcher tasted like high-quality bottled water. I even noticed my dog started drinking more water. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and glad I chose this brand. I don’t believe you’ll find another unit in this price range that provides this level of filtration and taste improvement. I would highly recommend it and would absolutely purchase it again.

I originally have always used Brita. However, I wanted something that filtered more, had clearer water, and tasted better. The water from this LifeStraw does taste better, it's significantly clearer (water in the Brita was cloudy, even with new filters, even when properly maintained and cleaned), and it filters significantly more than my Brita ever has, and I used the advanced Brita filters on my Brita too. Instructions were simply, and set-up was easy. The card inside the box, keep it. It tells you how often you have to replace each filter, and how to properly clean each piece of this Water Filter Dispenser. It's great that the Membrane Microfilter is replaced yearly, and the Carbon Filter is replaced every 2 months. Not a bad set up at all. For the Membrane Microfilter, after you clean if the first time before using it, push it in from the bottom to re-insert it (that part isn't in the instructions), and then it'll go back into place properly, and make sure it's the round part that you insert from the bottom up and it'll go in place without issue. (you tube videos are made by the company for it). The design is sleek, fits in both my fridge without taking up a lot of space, but I prefer to keep it on my counter, as it's used quite a lot between myself and for my dog's water bowls. My dogs love the water coming from this dispenser far more than they did the Brita one. (For those who have dogs/cats/pets). It was easy to clean in my sink, and easy to clean physically (and I do have physical disabilities). I think it is good value for the money, as I wanted one that was good quality and worth the money it was going to be more expensive. So, I am happy with the value and quality for the price. Additionally, I like that you can choose from different colors, that was nice, most other brands usually don't have more than maybe 2-3 colors to choose from, if that. Also, comments about the "leak" after getting water. Mine doesn't leak. I press the button, water comes out into my dog's water bowls (for example), then I let go of the button when the bowls are full. A small drop of water rests where the water pours out of. I just take a towel, wipe up the drop of water, and then there's nothing left, and there's no leak. No issues. So, if others have a leak, maybe there were issues with there's in transit or theirs is faulty, I wouldn't know honestly, but I can at least say mine is not leak when it sits on the counter or in the fridge, and there's no leaks overnight nor throughout the day. No puddles, nothing. Honest review. Honest customer. Just upgraded from having the Brita version.

Want clean, sweet tasting water? This is where you find it. We've used at least six brands of filters and none of them produce water as clean as the LifeStraw filter system. Yes, it's a little more, but considering everything it filters out, you get value for your money. This dispenser is narrow enough that it doesn't take up a huge amount of counter space. It holds a great deal of water. And, while the filter isn't "fast" it certainly moved water through more quickly than most other brands we've used. Instructions were clear but you have to read them. I almost blew it when I was washing the dispenser for first use. One of the filters cannot be washed with soap. Take care to follow the instructions for first time usage. Great quality and wonderful water (even my teen is drinking more water now, skipping over the other drinks in the house). Highly recommend!

I love my LifeStraw counter top filter. My association seems to have ongoing issues with our well water and I am not comfortable drinking it from the tap, cooking or making coffee. After much research on counter top filters I landed on this one. Life Straw provides clean drinking water around the world in third world nations. So I decided on this for my water issues. The water tastes good, is crystal clear, has no tap water odor and makes beautiful clear ice!! This is my second one. And the absolute only complaint I have with this product is the spigot. It uses a spring which does get weak after a year or so and will begin to drip. If they would fix that one issue, it's almost perfect!! I am actually looking at their bigger one for my next one!

The disc filter part of assembly was a pain in the keester to put in place, but I was determined. The taste was pure, clean, and enjoyable, even though the numbers on the water testing meter didn't change much (it went down by 20 ppm). At this point I was so darned tired of researching and trying out different filter systems, that I decided "this is good enough". This had many negative reviews about leaking. I should have paid serious attention to that. During the very first night it silently leaked all over my floor, the counter, and inside the cabinet that was beneath it. (I just pray the water didn't seep between the walls). Next morning, the first thing out of bed, I had to deal with this big messy surprise. Before coffee!! The only good thing about this experience is that my kitchen floor is now very clean. I'm sending it back. I'm going to get a countertop reverse osmosis unit for $200 on Amazon and just bite the bullet about it. My Municipal Water has lots of chemicals, cysts, bacteria and parasites. I bet if you Google your cities water supply and ask if there is bacteria and parasites in your drinking water the answer will come back yes. Anyway this will solve all my drinking water problems and I can finally stop obsessing over it.

The taste of the water is great. You need patience for the purification of the water. It's not fast like brita. I have mine on the counter with a cup on the floor because it does leak. The plastic piece around the spigot has already cracked and I've owned it for only 2 1/2 months. The reason why the 4 stars is because the water tastes cleaner than my other brand name pitcher filters. The taste was the most important factor to me.

We love this water filter system knowing it removes microplastics etc. It functions as described and the water tastes fresh and clean! Easy to get started and preserves/restores your health, saves money and time not having to return bottles.

If you have struggled to find a water purifier that you actually like and does NOT give your water a weird taste, then look no further! Lifestraw has perfected the water purification system. I previously had their 10 cup water jug but found that I wanted something with more capacity. This was the answer! I highly recommend filtering several batches of water and discarding those before using the water, but once you do that, the taste is clean and perfect. It can even take awful tasting tap water and turn it into delicious, refreshing water that would never have guessed came from the worst tap ever. Stop buying bottled water and get this instead! It fits in the fridge nicely or countertop if you prefer room temp. The money is totally worth it!

Amazing filter. My building has hard water, and it was difficult to find something that didn’t add a heavily chlorinated flavour to the water while also helping soften it before reverse osmosis. This really delivered.

I've had this dispenser for a few months and it works well. No leaking and filters fairly quickly.

I absolutely love this life straw home water filter dispenser it holds a great amount of water so you don't have to refill too often it's definitely something I use everyday and the water taste is amazing
