You get what you pay for is definitely true when it comes to wood clamps of any style even though most brands are made in China like what seems to be almost everything else when it comes to tools, just about everything in general really. I own Irwin quick grip clamps like the style of this Jorgensen and I also own F style bar clamps of both brands. Trust me when I say Jorgensen clamps are worth the extra amount spent and it isn't even that much more than Irwin's if any at all depending on where you buy them. My Irwins have a bad tendency to slip when I clamp anything with them whether it's a table top I'm gluing or a lot of other things. Jorgensen clamps honestly don't have that same problem.
