Upon disassembling and reassembling it, it started running roughly. This new one I ordered runs extremely smooth and has a smoother eye mechanism. Now I'm using my old one for spare parts. As always, great model from Bachmann.

**Q: How does the strength or pulling power of this engine compare to other ho engines OR other bachmann thomas brand engines?**
A: Hello. These have great pulling ability. The newer of the versions have a little better ability. I only pull other Thomas the Tank engine trucks with it. Hope this helps.ThanksRobert

A: No they do not they only work with other Thomas trains and cars

A: The body is metal, but does have some plastic parts.

Opened the package, put it on the track, cranked the power and off it went! great low speed and reasonable high speed. not too fast, but fast enough that my kiddo is always on his toes. Great engine, will likely end up buying more engines from this line if they are anything like this one and the LBSC 70
