Fluidmaster 507AKP7 2-Inch Toilet Flush Valve Repair Kit

Excellent kit! I had been fighting a flapper leak for quite awhile. Save the aggravation, and just put a this kit in. It's easier than you might think! The only modification I had to make was to cut the tube about 3" shorter to fit my toilet. No more leaks!

Easy to install, would recommend this quality product, also ordered a second unit and repaired my other commode.

The kit is good, but it will not fit my older 2002 Kohler. My toilet needs 3 bolts and a completely different tank gasket. The flush valve itself is good. It seals well and was easy to install. I would recommend, but just know it won't work with Kohler.

Easy to install and fit will in my Crane toilet. Solved the issue we had with an old leaky flush valve. I did have to trim down the height of the overflow tube by about 3 inches, so just be aware of that if the tank of your toilet is not super tall. Make sure you have a wrench that opens to at least 2.5 inches wide so you can install and properly tighten the nut at the base of the tank as this kit does not provide a tool to assist with that.

I like this kit. A very cost effective and quick fix. I like to have a kit like this with a new fill valve as spares. I have rental property and my own home. I usually throw these kits in a rental property between new tenants so I don't get called for any toilet issues at 2 AM. Once you understand how a toilet works it's pretty simple. Over the years I've learned if the toilet starts to have an issue I don't just usually chase one part I replace all the parts at one time. Its like $30 in parts and 30 minutes to an hour labor and you should be good for at least a few years. I usually put the toilet tank lid in the shower so it won't get damaged. Flush the toilet to empty the tank as best you can. Turn your water supply line off at the wall and then remove the tank screws off each side. Then I will unscrew the water supply line from the tank last and gently tilt the tank to the opposite side to not leak the water on the floor (since you unscrewed thexsupply line) then I empty the remaining water from the tank into a sink. From there, then just replace the parts per the instructions. Consider having a green scrub pad and some CLR if toiler cleanser won't remove all the stains. The toilet can look near new when you're done. You got this. Plus there's you tube university out there if you need it. :-) Take care

This really did the trick. Toilet was running and leaking. This kit had everything needed to fix it. Amazing value.

-All the negative reviews seem to be user error or having a toilet that is not compatible. Watch youtube video(S) and compare with your toilet and you likely wont have any issues. -The toilet in question that I had was cycling every 2-3 minutes it was a Gerber model estimated late 1990s model. I had already replaced the fill valve and flapper at this point. So I took the plunge and bought this flush valve. -READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY, Make sure you have all the required tools before hand (namely a large enough crescent wrench or adjustable wrench) -The only issue I ran into was a small leak from the sides of the toilet (later determined to be reservoir screws) after each flush, I doubled down on the instructions and they supply many metal washers and rubbers washers for the reservoir screws and it specifies a correct order in which I neglected to put one of the rubber washers on the outer surface (weird the OEM screws weren't set up that way but nevertheless it fixed the leak).

It would great if it came with 3 sets of bolts/gaskets/washers. It only comes with 2 sets. Most toilet tanks attach to the top of the bowl using 3 bolts....not just 2. I had to go out and buy a whole set at the local hardware store since I needed that third set of hardware. This is just unacceptable to not include hardware for 3 sets of bolts/washers/gaskets.

Perfect fit for the American Standard toilet. Installation is quick if you have the right tools, and the price is reasonable.

So far, the product is working as it suppose to. Came with all the necessary parts and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.
