Baby Lactoferrin

(**Below is my personal story about finding Kiddivit Lactoferrin Drops 😻) This is a revolutionary product, I recommend it to EVERYONE with babies/toddlers/children. Start it as early as possible! This is the first an only individual lactoferrin supplement to be available for infants/toddlers. Even if you breastfeed or breastfed, it is SO good for your child! Both myself and my babies’ father have had personal and familial mental health struggles…lactoferrin helps brain development so profoundly that it minimizes the likelihood for/severity of things like that. Here’s just a snippet of countless positives of lactoferrin I found during a quick search!: How Lactoferrin Helps Babies: * Immune system development: Lf helps develop a baby's immune system, including their innate and adaptive immune systems. * * Gastrointestinal development: Lf helps develop a baby's digestive system. • * Cognitive development: Lf may help with a baby's cognitive development. ® * Bone metabolism: Lf may help with a baby's bone metabolism. Kiddivit (pronounced Kiddy-Vite - I pronounced it wrong for years, lol) is SUCH a stand up company—i had a bottle once that was a bit clumpy seeming —when i contacted them directly, they confirmed it was still safe to use - and also sent me a new bottle! They REALLY care. All of their vitamin drops are fantastic— I just love their Lactoferrin the most :) ** My story: ** I have 2 boys that I had back to back—13 months apart. My first was born early due to preeclampsia— he was in the NICU, while I was in the ICU, heartbreakingly we were in different hospitals, during the height of the pandemic. I was devastated to be unable to breastfeed him. I wanted to get him the best formula possible, and Enfamil Enspire had recently been rolled out—“Their closest formula to breast milk”—which was how i learned what Lactoferrin and Colostrum were. I studied, and studied. Unlike breastfeeding, you can only use baby formula for 1 year. At 12 months your baby is are relegated to whole milk &/or toddler drink… Kiddivit had not yet released this product— In 2021, Enspire did not yet have a *toddler drink* formula. I was crushed to have to stop giving my son lactoferrin. I am only grateful that, in turn, I was forced to continue researching. Desperately seeking a way to get him Lactoferrin. I gave birth to #2 November 2021. I was able to breastfeed a bit, but due to postpartum preeclampsia, I wasn’t consistent enough from the get go with pumping to increase milk supply. Unaware of pumping bras, trying to keep my newborn settled, each hand holding a shield on……i barely knew how the pump worked.. my oldest, then 13 month old had just discovered the excitement of buttons, and how to couch cruise…EVERY time i seemed to be making progress pumping..or at least be holding the shields on tight enough..he’d push buttons or pull the cord from the machine. Gahhh! My youngest, given my lactation failures, from day 1 I’d had to supplement breastfeeding with formula. Again used Enspire. Their Dad disappeared when our oldest was 6 months, and I was 1 month pregnant— for the first 6 months of parenthood I’d at least had SOME $ help buying formula..to this day since he left, he has successfully and entirely dodged child support services. My food stamps were not covering everything at that point…Enspire formula costs twice as much as other formula…WIC only covers formula that is 3 or 4 ‘releases’ old, lol 🤦‍♀️ I was forced to use a less expensive formula…but would mix tubs of Enspire with them. My boys’ brain health was my #1 priority, though…I was desperate to find a lactoferrin supplement. It was April 2022 and I came across POWDERED colostrum for infants/toddlers. It was the only thing I’d found that wasn’t formulated for adults. I figured i could stir it into bottles relatively easily. (BABY FORMULA ADVICE FOR ALL — do not shake…stir!: Use a bit of HOT water, add exact scoops of formula needed, stir it really well til it is melted—I found a butter knife to work best—THEN fill rest of bottle ratio with COLD water-add an ice cube if needed to get it to room temp quicker, and stir well. If you shake AT ALL, even tilt back & forth, unscrew the bottle to allow air pressure to release before closing again. You cannot ever fully release the gas in a shaken bottle, but at least open temporarily after shaking) I used this same routine mixing the colostrum powder. Problem was, it didn’t EVER dissolve completely..not even in boiling water. Then, there was no way to confidently dose it, due to the water/powder ratio suggested..mixing clumpy colostrum with formula clogged the bottles…this worthless powder was really expensive! I never stopped searching high and low for lactoferrin FOR babies/toddlers - ideally easier administer than that stuff! Even contacted research hospitals, medical schools, pediatrician groups, compounding pharmacies. .. Then, one day searching the internet again…it appeared! This beautiful bottle of “Kiddivit Lactoferrin DROPS”…..Kiddivit was my new hero!! I can’t remember where I first found/bought them…I don’t think they were on Amazon at first…though I may be wrong. I bought them through several retailers though…I love and prefer Amazon, so I was absolutely thrilled when they were regularly here. Since August or September 2022, I have been putting these drops in my boys’ ‘ni-ni’ bottles (sippy cups are still called bottles here) they were released on August 22, 2022…I am so glad i kept searching those whole 18 months! You have to understand how groundbreaking these are…Lactoferrin is SO good for babies! For toddlers, too! — I don’t think there’s an age it isn’t good for, the earlier you start the better…but better to start than not at all! It mixes into drinks perfectly..I personally mix it into pediasure now, but I mixed it into formula and toddler drink…it could go in milk, the color might tint the white of milk, though, which is why i haven’t…i know my boys will drink their entire night drink, so that’s my favorite to do. I’ve never tasted it..it doesn’t stink like some baby vitamins, but it’s a dark amber color so it doesn’t look delicious. I know some parents insist on trying whatever they give their kids..i am never gonna do it lol. THEY can’t taste it, and it is so good for them, don’t let the appearance be an adherence. I very much appreciate that it isn’t artificially flavored cherry or something…it is much harder to mix those flavors undetected! Great job & Thank you Kiddivit!!!!

Our favorite lactoferrin!

So happy to find this product because there are no other baby liquid lactoferrin on here. Thankfully it also taste great, even I like it. Also very good price!

Product specifically says to shake well. However this causes the liquid to spill all over the place when taking off the cap and wasting the product.

My kids like it cause it has a sweet and pleasant taste! No fussing to get them to take their vitamins. Im very happy with the product.

This product appears to be in poor condition.

My kids HATED the way this tasted. After using daily for a few weeks, I’ve not noticed a difference.
