There is a ton of hidden strategy in how you can chain cards together to sabotage your opponents or maximize your own scoring. And when you start to get comfortable, there are several expansions for sale that add new ways to play.But in true party fashion, there's plenty of surprises depending on what cards you draw and what the next age tells you to do, which keeps the game from being dominated by skill gaps. We've had games when the newcomer wins on their first try, and games when our big-brain friend absolutely smokes us!What really makes the game stand out, though, is how much character it has. Each card has its own cute creation and a light-hearted caption. Picked this up to play with gamuly and friends. It is easy to learn and a blast to play for any age. Hours of fun, laughter,and still play this to this day! Also makes a great gift for any age. Great value for the fun to be had.

We love this cute little game. The graphics on the cards are all lovely and it's always fun to see what you'll pull next. I got super lucky snd pulled a rainbow scoots out of this box and that made my day.

Pretty regular occurrence in our household to call up a few other parental friends for an ad hoc kid play date and adult game night... we have made the rounds... farkle..skyjo... unstable unicorns... happy little dinosaurs... this one will probably stick around for awhile... well it better since i just paid $60 to go buy all the player mats last week :-P Good game for getting more then 1 game/round in for the night... doesnt often take us maybe more then say an hour or so to play through to "at worlds end" whether we are running with 4 or 6 people which is nice since it usually takes a couple rounds to remember some of the good cards and strategies. Definitely recommend the deluxe bundle... the community mat for the draw/discard piles is nice... we have MORE THAN ONCE forgotten to put the next age in a separate pile before that mat and now we are much better on keeping it straight. Be prepared to sit at a smaller table or be ready to get up/lean over to read other players cards... lots of opportunities to steal, move discard and generally mess with your enemies... if... you can read their cards without being noticed. Generally easy to digest... not as contentious as unstable unicorns where there are soooooooo many interpretations but you will find a couple here and there that will require a little rock, paper, scissors to decide an approach. Overall worth the purchase and will keep its place on the eye level shelf for awhile i think. Enjoy!

This game is very difficult to play off the cuff. I can see how it would be fun after really committing to learning the nuances but we had so many questions about game play it was frustrating. The instructions aren't very explanatory. The idea is super cute and I want to delve into it more, but it's not a game you can just quickly teach a newby or say, learn while also enjoying adult beverages... ;)

I think there's a certain thing to be said these days about games that aren't too complicated and easy to learn, and it's a real testament to this game that the first time I learned to play it, I was drunk at a party and was still able to pick it right up and have an absolute blast. I knew I HAD to own this game, so the next day, in the light of sobriety I ordered it without hesitation. It is cute, fun, and as I mentioned, quite easy to learn. I love this game, and the deluxe bundle brings a few nice extra touches that polishes a game that didn't require any help to be enjoyed. 100% recommend.
