My 8 year old can do most of the tricks on his own and has been completely delighted on most days. The book that comes with the tricks is sufficient for him to learn the tricks. There are QR codes that link to videos, but we have not needed to use them and they are not blatant or FOMO inducing if you choose to skip them. The objects and materials are fairly high quality (metal rings, durable plastic, rope, playing cards) and most of the tricks can be saved and redone. My kid performs his favorite tricks over and over on our guests.

My kids are loving this advent calendar! We've had quite a few different magic sets for kids over the years, and they have always been very disappointing - low quality materials that either break or make the secret of the trick obvious because of how poorly they are made, difficult slight-of-hand tricks that kids struggle with, etc. This set has been surprisingly opposite! We are more than halfway in, and the tricks have been easy and fun for both kids (ages 8 and 13). Some of the pieces are pretty cheap plastic, but we haven't had anything break or felt like the trick doesn't really work because of poor quality. They all work and are doable by the kids with only a little practice. A great follow-up gift to this set would be 2 cheap, identical decks of cards. A couple tricks damage the cards during the trick, so you want backups. You need 2 identical sets so that you can have 2 of the same card with the same design on the back.

This is an excellent and well made advent calendar! My 12 year old son loves it and every morning he’s doing a trick before school. The directions along with QR code for video tutorials are perfect.

This is hands down the best advent calendar I have ever purchased. I have done individual calendars for my two girls ever since they were little. As they have gotten older it has been harder to find quality advent calendars for pre-teens and teenagers. My 12 year old that received this is loving it!!! She has been interested in magic for a while and these tricks do not disappoint. They are of good quality and she has mesmerized me with some...when usually I can figure them out quickly. They are not just for little kids and I feel like any magic loving age person would enjoy this. The one tricky part is the book shows you the next trick on the next page so if you don't want to know the next one ahead of time...you have to cover the page and not look. My daughter loves to be surprised so this has been easy for her to manage. I am MORE than pleased with this item and will be looking into the company's other advent calendars for the future. It is AWESOME!!!!!

This advent calendar was the most fun and exciting surprise. My son learned each trick and performed them for the family and his class every day. He still uses the tricks almost a year later. They were good quality and it was something he practiced to perfect the trick. This was worth the price!

Les tours sont super. Bien expliqués avec le manuel en anglais mais aussi des vidéos (QrCode sur le manuel et sur chaque petite boite). Un jour, une boite, un tour avec du matériel de qualité. Je recommande vraiment ! Par contre, petite déception car dans le calendrier, il manquait la boite 22...

Un’idea davvero carina: piccole magie pensate per i bambini, perfette per sostituire i soliti cioccolatini, spesso troppo zuccherati e poco salutari. La maggior parte dei giochi è adatta anche ai bimbi di 4 anni e mezzo, fatta eccezione per 4 o 5 attività un po’ più complesse. Mio figlio, infatti, è entusiasta: mi ha detto che questo calendario è molto meglio di quello con i cioccolatini. Un’alternativa divertente, creativa e decisamente più intelligente.

Perfect, maybe add a tiny peice of chocolate in as well. This is my son’s favourite calendar and he has has one every year. He loves this calendar

My daughter absolutely loved this! She was the resident magician for a month and still uses some of them at parties 2 years later. A welcome change from the chocolate advent calendars!
