Been trying to get a simple solution in getting 3 screens on my MacAir M2Tried various none high $$$ configurations but no luck.Purchased the Startech Usb 3.0 dual HDMI.After a brief driver download, simple click installation making sure I installed right version and adjusting the settings requested, I finally have 2 separate external 1920x1080 screens as well as the main 2560x1664 builtin laptop retina display on my MacAir M2 😊😊😊No screen mirroring, as all 3 displays working completely independantly.Since I did not want to stress the existing USB plug on the laptop, i plug the usb on a separately used usb adapter that was already hooked up to the laptop.Now I can finally open excell on one screen, word on different screen and all other programs on 3rd screen..... 🥳🥳One happy camper here.Will update later if I come accross any peculiarities ...

Tried some f the "budget" adapters but they were always failing and requiring software reinstallation. So I sucked it up and paid more for this one.Well worth it, it actually works without any of the cheapies nonsense. It will be worth not wasting your time with crappy adapters to spend the money on this one.

Support is hard to find these days. Quality products are hard to find these days. Combined, they are nearly impossible -- except for the StarTech 2-display port.I bought a new laptop and a docking station, and unknown to me, the laptop can't keep up with the requirements of the docking station to display 3 monitors. Heck, I barely could get 2 to work. Both monitors had reduced resolution, resolution would change etc.After doing some research I found the StarTech. At first, I was wondering why they were around 50 bucks. I found some other usb-> hdmi cables that were $12, but after reading those reviews, it was obvious they were junk.What makes StarTech different is that they ARE video cards. So the processing is done inside the unit instead of loading down your laptop.I purchased a 2-port and a single port, installed the drivers, and got both hooked up and running in 10 minutes. Routing the cables was the most time consuming part! I got full resolution on all monitors, and even leaves me with an open HDMI on the laptop if need-be.In addition, I was able to use the dock to hook up the myraid of other usb devices, audio cable, and hardwired network, so it's really a win/win.

My pc I got didn't have enough connectors to be able to have a double screen. This was my saving grace. It works perfect and I have never had any issues with it! Stays out of the way and it's something that's a bulky inconvenient item! I love it!

A couple years ago, I spent two or three weeks and lots of money to find a dock that would allow me to run two monitors off my work laptop as well as the laptop screen. After 3 different docks promising to be the solution, I finally got the $129 central bus version to work. When I got laid off this spring, I figured I wouldn't have any problem just dropping my personal laptop in to array (I owned my WFH monitors and peripherals.) Sad me, that was not the case. Took me a while to figure out that my graphics card in my laptop just couldn't handle it. Thanks StarTech.com for the great info on the website, and Amazon for a great deal. Popped open the laptop this morning, downloaded the drivers and ran them, plugged the monitors into this adapter and plugged the adapter into a USB 3.0 port ---- and both monitors lit up, already identified and extended. This is the way they should all operate. Plug and play for sure. I am a happy (desk) camper!!

My new HP laptop does not have a lightening port and I was so upset because I didn't want to return it after getting it all set up. I searched the internet and found this was a solution for dual screens for USB 3.0 and THIS IS THE PRODUCT!

The product is exactly as it's described. It does exactly what it's supposed to. All I had to do was plug it in and now I've got four screens. I use it for stock trading, and have multiple monitors. Just be careful which one you get the type C versus usb. I got a type c because my computer has a charger that uses type c and it also has an additional type c port.

Facile da installare e usare, non scalda ma con 27 °C in casa lo senti appena caldo dopo ore di funzionamento in 4K. Nessun problema per il momento, direi ottimo: win11 pro portatile Asus vivobook x512fb con secondo monitor in HDMI e terzo schermo 60Hz 4k 42". Ore di funzionamento continuo con prolunga HDMI da 10m in 4k. Ho scelto questo modello per il raffreddamento che offre.

Adattatore ottimo per lo sdoppiare due schermi, molto facile da installare, l'unica cosa è un po caro...peccato

En effet , même des informaticiens ne savaient pas que cela existait , mais après l'installation , Je trouve qu'il est fort chaud qu'il chauffe vite mais cela fait un an que je l'utilise et je n'ai eu aucun problème je le recommande Vraiment fort . Achat où je n'ai aucun regret .

Esto es lo que estaba buscando de hace por lo menos 1año, pero nunca encontré hasta ahora. Todo ponían "splitter" o "partir" no estába viendo "EXTENDER PANTALLA". Lo que digo que este producto funciona para extender pantallas, yo hice a mi portátil 2 extensiones de pantallas. Lo recomiendo

Erst dann kann man die Bildschirme erweitern.Viel zu teuer...
