This is the only stuff that has helped my dry, itchy scalp. I have struggled with psoriasis on my scalp my whole life. I have tried so many different shampoos. Most of them would help a little but not enough. This one helped drastically right away. The shampoo has a sharp, strong smell that takes some getting used to but it truly works! My scalp is noticeably less flaky and irritated. My hair also feels healthier and moisturized, especially my roots which were breaking in some spots. This coal tar shampoo has worked wonders for me, I'm so glad I found it!

Works a lot better than high priced brands. I actually experience relief with this shampoo. Sure the smell isn’t that great, but that’s to be expected…it’s tar lol.

This stuff is amazing. Worked day 1 for me. Had bad psoriasis on my scalp and ears that would not go away. Nothing helped, not even many prescription stuff I tried. WelI actually, I did try MG217 and it helped but stinks so bad and lingers with you all day. Not this stuff and lathers like regular shampoo. 👏

This shampoo is definitely effective for psoriasis flare-ups and has helped reduce the itching, flaking, and irritation on my husband’s scalp. After just a few uses, be noticed a big improvement and much less buildup. The only downside is the smell, it’s pretty strong and not the most pleasant. However, because it works so well, he can overlook that. He usually follow it with a good-smelling conditioner which helps. If you’re looking for something that actually helps with scalp psoriasis, this is worth trying even if the scent isn’t the best.

I was so happy to find this shampoo online. I had been using the name brand equivalent for years and then they stopped making it! I tried several different brands before I found this. Most shampoos with coal tar have a really strong smell, but this brand has only a slight smell while still having 0.5% coal tar. True+ Real has done an excellent job duplicating the name brand. They have a loyal customer who hopes they keep on making this shampoo. It’s the only one that works for me!

This is one of the best dandruff cleanser so far. Forget about the smell.

To this reviewer, this appears virtually identical to the name brand T-Gel - and it is effective. A number of reviewers seem not to like the scent. This reviewer did not find the scent at all problematic or unpleasant. Some contrary reactions here may be caused by previous use of heavily scented or perfumed shampoos. Anyway, it washes out easily.

This stuff works for the scalp. It has a strong medicated odor too it that reminds me of tea tree oil but after adding condition some of it goes away.

Funciona desde la primera aplicación. Efectivamente el olor es fuerte pero no permanece mucho tiempo después del baño. Aunque es "genérico" tiene la misma calidad que un producto con marca. Para mí problema funciona correctamente, no sé si deba utilizarse a la par de un shampoo con otros ingredientes para otros tipos de padecimientos.

O shampoo realmente trata problemas capilares crônicos.

Context: Long Time T-Gel User and had to look for alternatives to replace it. I held off for a few weeks prior to putting in a review. The product is almost identical to the TGel. The performance and output is exactly the same and works perfectly well on me. Highly recommend if you are coming from Neutrogena's T-Gel.
