We installed this as a second home printer. I LOVE the black and white laser. It is fast and cheap. This one even does automatic duplex printing to save paper. The B&W is fine for us. We ran through so many color cartridges over the years when my wife printed out recipes or craft ideas. The B&W is fine for us--and so much cheaper. The cartridges last us probably over a year. We have not tried the envelopes function. Easy connection via the HP setup process. Make sure to put the printer on the same WiFi as the laptops/smartphones/iPads in the house. We have a WiFi repeater that we use for better coverage--you have to make sure they are all on the same network.

Love the HP printer. Always hook up to the network and system first time. Also software is not updated everyday which is annoying. Like the way HP does there system overall.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER if you are looking for a reliable, wifi-friendly printer that will sit in the background, ready to print on your home network. BUY IT if you are willing to place it near your computer, and connect it directly to your computer via an ethernet / usb cable The wireless printing will work for about 2 days, and then it will stop. Then, you will have to try and re-connect it to your network, which will take several hours, and it just won't connect. It will drive you crazy, and you WILL want to swing a baseball bat at it. I am in a Mac environment -- Mac Silicon, Mac Laptop, iPhones. The ONLY way I can get it to work is to have it connected to my silicon Mac, via ethernet cable. All print jobs must be done through THAT computer. Full stop. The. black and white printing looks good, though lol

The HP Laserjet Pro 3001dw printer was very easy to set up for home use. It only came with a power cable, and I did not need any additional cable to get started. I simply plugged it in, turned it on, made sure the wireless function and my home Wi-Fi were on, then went to hpsmart.com/setup on my laptop and followed the instructions. The setup required my Wi-Fi password, but after that, everything worked smoothly. Everyone in the house on the same Wi-Fi can print from a mobile device or computer. It is a black-and-white printer and it can print double-sided, which works well for me.

Rough start using this printer, but I have it working now. Wireless connection is very challenging and it takes some getting used to. Not the best, but functional.

Prints fast

First, the good news--The printer was very easy to set up. I just connected an Ethernet cable to my router, and my Macs were able to see the printer. I was able to add the printer to Macos with Apple's built-in drivers. I did not download or install any HP software to use the printer. Printing has been flawless so far. And the printer is very fast with text documents. The bad--The printer has no manual input tray. I thought I had checked before my purchase, but I must have been looking at a LaserJet 4001 model instead. Also, graphics printing only okay, not very good.

A year later and it hasn't let me down yet! If you don't NEED coloured printing, this saves so much more money than your standard inkjet printers. I tutor kids, so I print quite a bit, but intermittently. So I can actually print 1000 pages over months and not have to pay $50 every single month because ink dried out. I've changed the cartridge only once over the last year and a bit for only $33 and basically printed two textbook worth of materials. I've even used thicker papers for art projects and it handled it just fine. I had some trouble re-connecting the printer to a new wi-fi when I moved, but it works fine while plugged directly into the router, so I didn't take the trouble to figure it out.

Very easy to set up; took about 15 minutes to set up to two laptops and two phones. Works really well.

I purchased the HP LaserJet Pro 3001dw specifically because it was advertised as supporting automatic duplex printing. My primary need was A5 duplex printing, which the product appeared to support — the paper tray is even marked for A5. However, after setting up the printer, I discovered that it cannot perform duplex printing on A5 paper at all. This makes the printer completely unsuitable for the purpose I bought it for. I contacted HP support several times through the hotline, but each time the outcome was a failure — no fix, no workaround, and no refund offered. This is extremely disappointing from a company of HP’s reputation. If you need duplex printing on A5, be warned: this printer will not deliver what is promised. Misleading specifications and poor customer support have made this a frustrating and regrettable purchase.

Printer works decently, the setup was quite easy, the print quality is good and the toner page yield is fairly decent. I wish it had an inbuilt scanner. Nonetheless, I would recommend for a home office or small business. I’ve had the printer for a month but i will edit this if any changes after 6months.

Elle allait super bien, jusqu'il y ai une panne de courrant, à partir de là, pilote est mort, pas moyen de la reconnecté à l'internet, même avec un pro, elle est désuet et mal conçu, elle ma duré 6 mois.
