Nice pair of cutting pliers I use them mostly for cutting tie wraps I just put them on the truck so I don’t know how long they will stay sharp but for the money they were a really good buy

Nice pair of diagonal cutting pliers. Comfortable grip makes them easy to use. While they do work very well, i wish I'd gotten the 8" ones instead. It would have suited my purposes better for home wiring.

Sharp. No wobble, Nice rivet. Comfortable grips. The only issue is that the blades do not go back to the rivet so there is a gap. Looking at the photo in the ad, you can even see the air gap near the rivet. This means when you put your wire all the way "in" to get maximum leverage, say like you might need on this size cutter for #10 or #8 stranded, they don't cut through and you have to adjust a bit to get that last wire or piece of insulation. Not fatal but, so easy to correct and kind of annoying. Other than that, these are a great value. I carry them in my emergency car kit because living in California, where we have decriminalized theft up to $950, it seems to be lost or stolen often. My home set are Kleins for the 8" and Milwaukee for the 6". Both are about 2x the price of these but cut all the way to the rivet and are tougher steel. These are made in China, Klein in USA and Milwaukee in Vietnam. FYI. The craftsmanship on all three is about the same it is just the others are a better design (no gap) and use a tougher steel and edge material/finish.

Works great removing electric power chords from recycled light fixtures on my job site. The cutting part of the clippers make removing the chords a simple task. The grips are easy to hold and provide adequate leverage for making through cuts to remove wires and chords. They cut through regular appliance chords like butter; having the correct sharpness to make quick work of the recycling process. I use them daily for repairs and refuse removal and recycling. Recently cut a live wire from a stack of fixtures and was not shocked from electric current. May have something to do with insulation on clippers, gloves or just stupid luck. Made clean, quick cut in wire regardless. Great value for under $15 and fit easily into cargo pants pockets.

I have always used IRWIN tools, so when I needed a new set of cutting pliers, I had to get the same brand again. They always work great and stay sharp to easily cut. We use them for so many things around the house too. I use them in the garage and my wife uses them with her crafts. The handles are comfortable and easy on your hands.

I'm 75 and I don't remember the last time I bought a tool, till now. I had two of these, that were unable to cut through a wire or even a zip tie! Time for a new one. I chose this one, on Price first (best I could find) and the thousands of people who bought it before me. They look great, feel solid and cut like they're supposed to.

I find these IRWIN Vise-Grip diagonal cutters really useful in the kitchen when I need to trim small wires or open packages. They feel sturdy and comfortable to hold, which makes work easier. Low voltage tech here, these are my preferred set of side cutters. Small enough to fit in a pouch or pocket easily, ergonomic, cut well. The crimp section is good for B connects. Much more comfortable than scissors and are very capable of doing fine stripping with a good hand. Every guy has their preference, but I'll keep buying these, love them.
