I've been using the Benvo Mosquito Head Net Mesh Hood for over a year. We have a lot of gnats in certain areas of the yard at certain times of the year and the hood helps enormously. I always put on a cap with a visor before putting on the hood so that the netting is held a little bit away from my face. The hood is plenty long enough to tuck into the top of a crew neck shirt, though I don't find that necessary. On days when the gnats are plentiful and I have to be in the yard to mow there can be a dozen sitting on the net, but they aren't being irritating or getting in my eyes, nose, or mouth! Those days I literally could not mow without it. Visibility with the black net is satisfactory and easy to get used to. The drawstring storage bag is small, but big enough, and is effective in keeping the netting from snagging in between uses. I highly recommend this product.

I bought these for me and my boyfriend for a backpacking trip through the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness. Having these was totally worth it. They are lightweight and pack down small. Having these at camp on evenings was great when were were getting eaten up by mosquitos.

I take my dogs out into the forest to hike. There are a few weeks every year when gnats and other small insects tend to swarm around me as I walk, and every once in a while one of them will land in my eye. Annoying and painful. Insect spray sometimes helps but not always, and some of those little critters are very persistent. I made a mental note to buy a head net but didn't get around to it until recently. I'm glad I finally did. I went for a hike with the net and had ZERO problems with gnats. Whenever they started to swarm, I'd pull the net down over my head. Instant protection from insects. Once the swarms cleared, I could pull the net back up and away from my face. This net will trap a little bit of heat, and it will also occlude your vision a small amount. Also, it's a pretty tight fit into the storage bag that it comes with. The bag should be just a bit bigger to allow you to scrunch the net up and get it stowed more easily. As it stands, I was a little afraid of tearing the net when I stuffed it back in the bag, and it's the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars. Aside from that relatively minor nuisance, this is a great product. It works, it's very inexpensive, and I can keep one on my dog's leash and another in my hiking pack, which means I'll always have one when I need it. If you hike in terrain where insects are a concern, I strongly recommend trying a net like this one. I won't be without one on a hike any more.

RE: Benvo Mosquito Repellent Head Net, 1 black & 1 gray: I bought them for work outside digging a long trench and home improvements. Excellent at keeping out every kind of buzzing insect (e.g. buffalo gnats) that had been bothering me previously. I researched several brands and types and chose this set and loved it because: (1) mesh density of 522 holes per sq inch was tight enough to keep out gnats and still allow air circulation; (2) good length/not too short-- it draped to my upper chest/upper shoulder area when not cinched up, so i could have tucked it into shirt top, but I preferred to cinch the drawstring up tight to my neck instead, which worked great and left loose fabric draping a couple of inches from the cinched area so it didn't press on my face or feel confining--it was easy to tighten and loosen as needed, and stayed cinched when tightened with the tiny built-in plastic push-toggle-attachment; 3) it fit great over a booney hat that had approx 1.5" brim so it kept the net off my face so I barely knew I was wearing it and wasn't distracted at all as I worked (part of the good fit was due to the "flat" round design at the top which allows it to rest on top of hat or head to stay in place better); 4) it had a drawstring and cinch toggle instead of just non-adjustable elastic bottom; 5) I ordered dark colors because reviewers on various sites said lighter color nets like white were harder to see through; my set came with one black and one gray but I only tried the black net so far and had perfect visibility! 6) great price/value compared to others like Sea To Summit which would have been my next choice; 7) when my face got sweaty from working, I just blotted it on my shirt sleeve right through the netting; 8) not overly scratchy or uncomfortable. I have ZERO complaints. [Just fyi: when shopping for head nets, things to keep in mind based on reviews and complaints from shoppers with all different kinds and brands of nets was to look for a net that **is long and wide enough to fit over the brim of the type of hat you plan to wear and well below your neckline so you can keep the net off your face and possibly ears and neck depending on your needs; **get netting dense enough to exclude the bugs that are bothering you but not so dense that it lacks airflow; **get one with a drawstring/cinch feature so you can tighten it as much as you want (versus just elastic without a cinch) so it doesn't just hang open at the bottom allowing bugs in.]

I purchased these to keep all the bugs away from my eyes. These work so well! I am in Florida, and if anyone there knows, the bugs are crazy even in the sunlight. They hold up very well, and I can see out of them pretty well. Keeps the gnats, yellow flies, and the mosquitoes off of me. I might look funny wearing it, but at least I don't get torn up by the bugs.

We were so excited to get these this weekend we went on a hike today. I put mine on in the air-conditioned house and it felt like someone had turned the AC off. I couldn't believe how effectively and quickly this thin film of synthetic fibers trapped body heat. Once outside, because there was little breeze but a lot of sun, I was too hot to keep the netting on. The only time it felt OK was when a rare breeze blew on that side of the product, pulling away body heat. The other challenge is, at least with the gray color, it can be hard to see things clearly, especially in the late afternoon. Everything just appears ... hazy. I really want to like this product so I'm going to take a short hike into the mountains this week to see if the net works better where it's still sort of cool. I can't imagine using these at sea level during the summer when it's both humid and hot. FWIW, I tried this with a wide-brim hat and a baseball cap. It's better with a wide-brim hat because the hat's rim keeps the netting taught so you can see better through it (fewer deep folds obscuring your vision). I still give the product 3-stars because it seems to keep gnats and other flying insects off my face and out of my nose, ears, and mouth.

I live in south Georgia, and if you know? you know! The gnats and mosquitoes are horrible! My first unit from a different source did not come in, so I ordered from Amazon. We have the white ones. While, you definitely want a hat (i have a ball cap) to help hold it out properly, these head nets really do work well. It didn't keep out every single gnat, and in it's defense, I did have to get the occasional drink, lol....but it was SO MUCH BETTER! No gnats in my ears and eyes, trying to talk around them, etc. the rest of my body had them, but my face and head, did not. I recommend them and will be getting a back up set, "just in case". The pouch is easy to use, as well. Shipping was quick, also.

I like these nets as you can put them on any hat or cap and they will fit the flys will try but they can't get at you. Also you get two so I say buy now. Recommended
