Great read
A truly heartwarming, funny story. Following the stories of Iris, Kim and Connie is utterly delightful with a definite basis in the realities of online dating. Feel good and not wrapped up in the finding a perfect partner premise. A breath of fresh air. Great read.Thank you Netgalley

Lovely uplifting rom com
Sometimes we all need a good rom-com to give us that endorphin boost – & ‘The Love Algorithm’ hit the spot perfectly. The story follows three single women at different stages of life, all looking for their ideal match. There’s career woman Iris, party girl Kim (who works for Iris) and Kim’s mum Connie, who has just lost her partner.I liked this take on the traditional romcom – it was a refreshing change to see different generations being represented. It also allowed space for the relationship between the women to be explored, which doesn’t always get much attention in books. We see Iris, Kim and Connie exploring online dating with various degrees of success, leading to them developing an app to help find the right match.I really enjoyed some of the dating horror stories – there were some real shockers in there! The character development was lovely to read as well, as the women learnt more about what they wanted from life & their own struggles.A lovely story to give us all a lift up - s always a good thing! ❤️

A joyful, heartwarming read about the power of friendship!
This was nothing like I expected but I think it was even better because of that! From the name of the book you might assume this is going to be all about the romance, but it turns out that is the smallest part of this story - the true love story in this book is female friendship. Whilst Iris starts the dating app to find love, she finds something far more important along the way and I loved watching the relationship between Iris and her colleagues blossom. And it was also lovely to see a novel touch on the realities of loneliness in a sensitive and warm way - this one has plenty of laughs too! It reminded me a little bit of Love & Other Human Errors with the tech angle and Iris’s behaviour, so if you enjoyed that but want more of a friendship focus definitely give this a go - it’s a real heartwarming and addictive read and I loved it!

A tale of friendship
I wouldn’t class this as a rom-com really, it’s more of a finding yourself kind of story. The 3 main characters are all women of different ages who are lonely, and set out to find the right man for them, but there isn’t really a feeling of romance in the book, more friendship and growing as a person.

It's ok
Funny at times. Before I bought the book, I red a few lines and I thought it was going to be hilariously funny. I was a bit disappointed with it. And I didn't like the fact that the characters were divided up between chapters.

This is a four-star read that almost added up to a five
This is a four-star read that almost added up to a five. I enjoyed this story, but I didn’t like the main characters for the first third of the story at least. I really had to push myself to keep going as it was a chore to read Kim and Iris, but then they started to really show themselves and you realised there were hidden depths, and it flourished into a better story, I stated to care for them both and then when you threw Connie in the mix, and her storyline that just pushed my limit in ways you will understand when you read this. Pick it up and enjoy it once you get there.

The Love Algorithm
A lovely story, initially about finding the right man but all three characters discover that that isn't always what they are actually looking for.
