After checking the competition, many features landed me on this trash can. Fast opening only as i approach with my hand ...opens fast and stays open just long enough Garbage bags are sucked to the sides of the can automatically. Holds plenty of garbage enough for two people a week and a half Keeps oder inside Easy change bags... i purchased them with the can from the same company. Bags seem economical enough and they fit the can perfectly Loved it but in two months the lid hinge broke.

Fits perfectly, goes will with white toilet aesthetics, like the fact it’s bigger than a 2.5 gallon size, and amazed at this bag suction technology. Only hoping for now that this work mechanically well long into the future and don’t have to replace batteries often. Super satisfied! 2 years later update: We bought two of these JOYBOS trash cans right after moving into our house two years ago - one for our bathroom and one for the kids - and honestly, it’s been one of our best purchases. We use them multiple times a day, every single day, and (knock on wood!) we haven’t had to change the batteries even once in all that time. The motion sensor works perfectly, and it’s even held up to my toddlers force-closing the lid more times than I can count. I love how the design holds the garbage bag in place with a slot in the back - and the automatic suction that pulls the bag in to maximize space is such a smart feature. It’s compact, sleek, and super convenient. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and functional bathroom trash can!

Update: The unit has stopped working after approximately 8 months of occasional use. I had thought the batteries went dead and were in need of changing but after doing so it still would not come on. Tried a few different batteries to confirm and the results were the same...unit just stopped working entirely. I was debating on giving this a reduction to 2 stars but as I thought about it - it was only used a small number of times in those 8 months, not like it was being triggered 10 times a day or anything... so the total number of actuations before failure was too low to give anything but a 1 star and a No Longer Recommend. =========================== Have this placed next to where it needs to be and it has been working well now for weeks on the first set of rechargeable batteries. I like how it suctions the bag to the sides when you install new ones and it continues to operate with the motion sensor well. I will say the construction is light-weight, this will help the power draw for activation of the lid but it also makes it prone to breakage if you interrupt the process or hit the lid when in the opened position. Mine has continued to operate properly but I can see plenty of times where it may be made inoperable with young children/inattentive usage.

I purchased this trash can two years ago and it worked great until some water accidentally spilled on top of the cover and immediately stopped working. I love this trash can and it is very nice and convenient. I would just be careful with water around the unit. The company claims that it’s waterproof, but this unit was definitely not waterproof.

I am very happy with this small trash can and am glad that I purchased the Big Lid. I feel it was worth the money. I had an issue with the hinge on the lid after 11 months of use so I contacted the seller who responded quickly stating they will replace it.

Have this for my bathroom, works great and is super quiet! I haven't had to change the battery since getting it a couple months ago. The slim design is perfect and the larger size is so convenient. The sensor is great and the lid opening is a great size

We bought this 3.8 Gallon Slim Garbage Can over a year ago, and it's been great ever since. With just two of us in the house, the size is perfect. It doesn’t take up much space but still holds enough. It came with its own trash bags, and replacing them is super easy and clean. We later ordered more bags and found that 4-gallon ones fit perfectly. A year in, and we still haven’t had to change the batteries! The sensor and lid work flawlessly. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a compact, hassle-free trash can.

Great product. I bought two of these garbage cans and they work really well. One of them broke after a few months because of the hinge. I reached out to their customer service on their website and they promptly replied. They gave me some options on receiving a new lid. The new lid was sent to me within the week. I’m very impressed by this company and their customer service.

Lid hinges are designed to be broken after couple months of use. Lots of customers have this issue. Definitely not recommend this bin at all. Not worth the money. Very poor quality design.

Was looking for a small garbage can with a lid for use at my fly-tying / sewing table. I wanted something with a lid because I'm lazy and keep trying to cram things in to a bag or bin and end up with it overflowing. Figured a lid would help me eliminate that issue. Original plan was to get a manual lid, but then saw this item. Of note; this is a very small garbage can. I can't give you a comparison, but it is small and if heavily used, you will have to replace the bags frequently. Have you ever heard someone say that changing garbage bags is fun? Well, with this unit, it actually is kind of fun. Most of the time, when changing a bag, you end up shaking the bag out to get it open, put it around the rim and then push it down to the bottom. With this unit, all you have to do is put the bag on the bin, but the lid on and it does the rest. There's a little fan that sucks there air out, which pulls the bag down and expands it into the bin. Kind of fun - guess I'm easily amused. The only knock is that the sensor is almost too sensitive. Will have to update once I've had this item longer. Based on early results, I can recommend this item.
