Handy little guy to have around
This isn’t something I will use everyday as I don’t collect coins or have any hobbies that would need it, but it sure has come in handy when I do need it. I was trying to read the model number for registration warranty on a product and I couldn’t entirely make it out even with my glasses. So I thought I would try this and it made it so easy to read. Very easy to use and while it might not be conducive to read a large amount of writing where you have to move the item around a lot to read left to right. If you are looking at product numbers, serial numbers it made a dramatic difference and gave me the ability to use my warranty that had not expire. Very easy to use, the item just has to be able to fit under the scope and you have your readable answer.

Good for viewing coins/stamps and similar objects
Light weight easy to carry and internal rechargable battery makes this microscope ready for any adventure. It lifts out of the viewing stand to image objects otherwise impossible to put on slide stand. Highest resolution is 720P but gets the job done.

Does not show full images of coins
This digital microscope is a little confusing to set-up and understand the translated English directions. We got it to focus after twisting the silver base of the camera attachment and playing with the adjustments, but this took a while to figure out. Upon looking at coins, we discovered that you cannot view the full obverse and reverse of the coin- only the zoomed in screen to see the details of the coin. It is for close up viewing only. The zoomed-in images are sharp and you can really see the detail so if that is your purpose, it will work. We also put a moth on the table to look at that and it was sharp and interesting to see. You can adjust the light brightness, which is helpful. However, our main purpose for getting this was to take full pictures of some coins that we want to sell and you can't see a full coin with this. After this realization, we didn't hook it up to the computer to test that feature.

Useful for looking at small objects.
I have been impressed with this microscope. While the magnification is 50x, it allows you to get a close look at the shape, and condition of coins and small objects. This does not have enough power to see cellular level magnification, but if you are wanting to see edges, and faces of coins this will give you exactly what you are looking for.Assembly was simple, and the instructions were clear, and easy to follow. Everything is held together with plastic set screws, and caution should be taken when tightening everything down. The Base of the microscope is a decent plastic base with small metal clips to hold coin cases down. All together the parts are plastic and aluminum. All of the set screws that keep the position of moving parts are plastic. The LCD screen is easy to use, and functions are relatively simple to understand after reading the directions. This unit did not come with a memory card, which would allow for taking pictures and videos with the microscope. There is an option and a cord included to connect the microscope to a PC. The instructions do say that this unit does not work with a Mac, and there is a disc to install software to view on a computer. I have not tried this, as my intention for the unit was not connecting to a computer. This is a simply constructed digital microscope for coins, or looking closely at small objects. I have looked at imperfections on coins, and find this product particularly helpful looking at small part numbers. The construction is functional, but not exceptionally hefty, or durable. With careful use there shouldn't be a problem with breaking it.

Cute addition for kiddos
This was easy to set up, I used a leave and was able to see the finer details! My kids love that they can look at bugs and other tiny stuff. I haven't tried to look at a slide with it, but I will definitely have to try it!

Solid basic microscope. Does the job
The microscope is as good as it gets at this price level - good focusing capabilities, excellent magnification, clear high-resolution screen. Definitely usable to routine tasks or working on tiny electronics. Much better than an average lens. Fine contrast seems to be a week spot, just as with any camera - it has trouble distinguishing between very similar colors (i.e. if there are letters on the electronic components that are of the same color as the casing). Overall it is a great microscope for educational or electronic repair purposes. Not quite there for the medical field.

Awesome
Very cool! Works well, and is pretty easy to use. I will say that the menu navigation can be a bit confusing at times, but it's nothing I couldn't figure out. For some reason, when switching between the video and photo modes, the photo mode appears to be somewhat distorted on the display, although the photos come out normal. Can connect to PC, but not Mac, and can also take a micro-SD card (not included.) Batteries, however, are included, as well as a power adapter. Note that while it can't connect to a Mac for a larger view, it can still connect to a Mac as a power source. Easy to set up, compact, and pretty good quality.
