Great device, just make sure you can use it.
This is very handy and keeps your light off your handlebars, which is great if handlebar space is at a premium (bell, computer, phone, coffee cup holder, etc). Make sure that you can put it somewhere tho, as it's designed to typically be used on a fork mount or qr skewer. If you have a handlebar rack, you may use it there. It seems very well made, looks cool and the knurling seems to really hold a light clamp well. A typical road bike may not have a fork boss for something like this, but a QR skewer or fender mount may work.

Basic, functional, and does exactly what it needs to
I picked up this mount to add yet another light to my Surly commuter bike โ and itโs exactly what I needed. No extra flash, no complicated setup, just a solid, adjustable mount that gets the job done. Installation was straightforward, the fit feels secure, and itโs held up well to daily rides without loosening or rattling. It's not the most beautiful piece of hardware you'll ever bolt onto your bike, but when you're commuting in unpredictable conditions, function wins. Would absolutely buy again if I ever need another light mount for future builds or upgrades.

Sturdy mount to place lights on bike rack
I have a Surly Long Haul Disc Trucker with Surly front and rear racks. The Portland Design Works Light Nug was the perfect solution to allow me to mount my Bontrager lights to the racks so that my gear didnโt block the lights. I purchased two right angle (90 degree) brackets from Home Depot and used m5 bolts to secure the brackets to the racks and then the Light Nugโs are attached to the brackets. Finally, using the standard Bontrager mounting straps, the lights are affixed to the Nug. I just completed a tour of Florida (around 800 miles) and rode in all kinds of conditions including torrential rain and high winds. I never had an issue with the lights slipping off due to the texture on the Nug outer surface and the sturdiness of the setup. Highly recommend this product to others who want to mount their lights on the ends of their bike racks like I did.

Better for areas without meth
Held my headlight on great using a rack mount bolt. Looked awesome . Tweaker was easily able to slip my 80$ headlight off without tools. Minor bummer there, but I still have the mount..

Absolutely Fantastic!
I really dislike handlebar clutter. Unfortunately, when riding at night, dusk or in Fall/Winter dramatically reduces daylight for riding and you need a light. I mounted this mount to my fender eyelets. Make sure you use the locking washer to prevent unthreading while riding. After tightening (less than 2 nm for your reference), after going off curbs, gravel, bumps in the road... the light did not move and neither did the mount. Using a rather heavy Lumina 1500 MAX light, with the Lumina Handlebar Strap (not the mount that comes with the light with a screw) it is absolutely bombproof. Very happy with this accessory mount. If you're a weight weenie, the item itself is very heavy, but at least it's not rotational mass so who cares. Great for added safety, night riding and aesthetics. One of the best things to buy just for $15 bucks.

Perfect
My e-bike has very limited handlebar real estate, and there is no place to mount a light. This gizmo solves that issue. It is very well made, inconspicuous, and solid. Love it.

Great way to mount a front light
This is a great way to mount a light if you have too much hanging off your handlebars or whatever already and have a spare rack eye on your bike (you probably do if you have a low-rider, or no rack at all, but have standard brazed-on eyes). The quality is good as is the price (apart from the cost of shipping from the US to Australia).

Affordable Solution
As my touring bike has a large handlebar bag up front, having a front light on the bars with visibility to the light is near impossible so I needed a solution. Being a touring bike it means I also have lots of mounting points on the frame and fork. For the price this mount was a great option. Super easy to install, assuming you have an available mounting bolt somewhere e.g. fork. The textured surface is a nice touch to minimize slipping of the elastic mounting strap. Would recommend.
