Blowout Preventer.....
This unit replaced an older model that was kaput. Installation was straightforward and relatively easy. There are no written instructions, so be sure to FULLY watch the YouTube video on installing AND setting up the Bluetooth, if you require it.

Poor execution of a good idea
Do NOT buy this product. It is hard to install and doesn't last.I've had 3 or 4 of these over the past 20 years or so. They seem to last 5-6 years maybe before something fails. The first just stopped working, perhaps due to a power surge, although I do have a whole house surge suppressor so maybe not. I recall the second unit doing the same, it just died. The third unit died when it was no longer able to open the cold water valve more than a trickle, making the laundry take hours to finish. The latest unit (purchased in 2023) lasted about a year. It appeared to work as it should, however the flow rate through the unit was less than a gallon per minute. Without the unit in place, the flow rate was 8 gallons per minute. I will not be replacing it with another. The plastic housing is an absolutely awful design choice. It is much too easy to cross thread the fittings when trying to install. If the pipes are even slightly non-parallel or the spacing is even a fraction of an inch off, you will have great difficulty getting this thing in place. The WiFi feature borders on useless. It requires a connection to Watts' server to tell you if the moisture detector tripped via a notification or email. I'm not sure why this is useful, as I'd discover this fact myself the next time I checked on the laundry. The only somewhat useful aspect of this is to let you know your home internet connection is not working. The fact it needs to phone home to Watts' servers is also disappointing.I wanted to like this thing. I bought a bunch. It is a five star idea. The execution is zero stars.

Good device bad owner manual
This thing works great… if you understand it and ignore the outdated manual. The manual refers to a yellow light. The old version had a yellow light. The updated version has an orange light. A distraction but shows lack of care.More importantly the old version would shut the valve immediately ( yellow light switching off) following the washer stopping and detecting no current. The new model has a timer and shuts off the valve 15 mins after detecting no current from the washer ( orange goes off). If you follow the manual it will have you going mad with trying resets, and recalibration to try to shut off valve once washer stops. It also states if light stays on after washer turns off it blames “ newer washers “ as the problem. Suggests you should buy their $250 timer and rewire the device. Be aware of device’s internal timer which is nowhere explained in user manual. I’m sure it was overlooked upon upgrading the model from old model and using same old manual. Piss poor from Watts. Hope this helps those who are following manual and going crazy ( like me).

This is a terrible produc.
Bought this a few months back. Since it couldn’t directly connect to the existing water valves, you have to remove the old valves and sweat on watts connectors. The thread is very unusual, so you can’t find an adapter, you must sweat on the new connectors. So, I finally got time to open the wall up and put on the new connectors and got it installed. Everything seemed to work and no leaks. I tested it with the washer. It wouldn’t give me any water, even when the washer light was on. After trouble shooting it, the manual says I need to buy an A2 Itelligent timer as this product doesn’t work with all washers. So after spending $200+ for the “great” product that they tell you that has a neat feature of sensing when your washer is on, I now have to buy an override timer, for $250? This is total BS. I had an earlier model and it worked great, this model sucks. I won’t trust Watts anymore. If I knew my new smart intelliflow needs a $250 timer to dumb it down, I would have not boughten it. Now I’m stuck.

Great Concept, Horrible Quality - 2 Stopped Working
This type of device is a great idea and when it is functioning and can provide great protection from a damaging water leak.HOWEVER, the build quality is terrible. I've gone through two of these with my most recent one only lasting 7 months. The first one lasted about 2 years. Both devices had the same problem which is the cold water valve stops functioning properly and doesn't open all the way. As a result, when the washing machine pulls cold water, it is crazy loud as the water tries to flow through a partially open space. While the device itself is not too hard to install, it is time consuming and a pain... especially with a small laundry room and a stacked washer/dryer. And replacing plumbing like this always comes with risks or flood or leak. The parts of the Intelliflow are plastic and cheap so you have to be very careful not to crack or over tighten. This should be under warranty since it is only a few months old, but I have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone at the company that can help me with a replacement. If I am able to get support, I'll have to decide if I should spend the time installing my third one or if I should try our a higher rated and more solidly built device like the FloodStop washing machine leak detector. My advice if you are shopping for a new install is to look elsewhere for a device with better construction. For those not sure how it works (when it works!): It protects from floods in a very smart way, only opening the water valves when the washing machine needs it, otherwise the valves are closed so there is essentially no chance of a leak or flood.

Finally got the washer set up right!!
My husband FINALLY purchased all the necessary parts for the plumber to come and hook up our washing machine with the leak alarm/shutoff valve setup! This was a MANY year wait on his honey-do listing! (actually, many decades wait!)

Be careful
I ordered this to install on a project that already has a standard washing machine box installed with hose bib connections. This unit won't work with it. I'll have to sweat on adapters and hang this on the wall.....if there is space.
