I will say there is a learning curve to using it though. The scribing tool it comes with works fine IF you DO NOT use the tip of the tool, if you do it will cut right through you card stock. I would also suggest taking a scrap piece of paper and score across the entire paper till you can score lines consistently without poking through the paper. In the picture you see the 3rd and 5th paper I scored. In less than five minutes I was able to score nicely. The measurement marks are indented in the plastic. I like this as I don’t have to worry about scraping the paint off over time. They are the same color as the plastic, this really didn’t bother me since you start your score from the top, you can see them just fine. But since some other reviews complained about the numbers visibility I thought I would see if scraping some acrylic paint over the top of them would help. You be the judge from the pictures shown, in hindsight I would have tapes off a straight line on top as to make it look neater. I hope this review helps you with your decision. I am happy with this board. As a side note, the other bone folder pictured worked amazing on this board with no problems at all, but I do not recall the brand. I would estimate the largest one piece box would be 3 inches square(a cube). There is no battery needed for this tool. It is a manual scoring board. There is a scoring board and a bone folder and that is all. Both work great. Nothing else is needed. **Q: does unit come with a scoring tool?** A: Yes the yellow object at the top is your scoring tool and I also use my boning tool. You love it I do! **Q: Can you use the included tool for cleans cuts, as well as the scoring?** A: I use mine to score scrapbooking paper.
