EK Success ek Tools Standard Scoring Board 54-00102 14" x 16.5" x .7"

I will start by saying this is a really great scoring board. The price is reasonable unlike others I have priced. I will say there is a learning curve to using it though. The scribing tool it comes with works fine IF you DO NOT use the tip of the tool, if you do it will cut right through you card stock. I would also suggest taking a scrap piece of paper and score across the entire paper till you can score lines consistently without poking through the paper. In the picture you see the 3rd and 5th paper I scored. In less than five minutes I was able to score nicely. The measurement marks are indented in the plastic. I like this as I don’t have to worry about scraping the paint off over time. They are the same color as the plastic, this really didn’t bother me since you start your score from the top, you can see them just fine. But since some other reviews complained about the numbers visibility I thought I would see if scraping some acrylic paint over the top of them would help. You be the judge from the pictures shown, in hindsight I would have tapes off a straight line on top as to make it look neater. I hope this review helps you with your decision. I am happy with this board. As a side note, the other bone folder pictured worked amazing on this board with no problems at all, but I do not recall the brand.

I bought this one for my business. I was using a smaller one and needed this size. Perfect as always from this brand and highly recommend this size if you do alot of junk journaling and papercrafts. grat for making envelopes too with the underside grid.

This scoring board is very easy to use and delivers precise folds. I found that holding the cardstock firmly is important to prevent any crooked lines, but otherwise it’s a reliable tool for paper crafting.

This works ok. The lines are stationary so it is difficult to line up. The scoring tool cuts right through the paper or cardboard if you are not careful.

I was a bit disappointed AT FIRST when scoring with the included tool. It was so sharp that it actually ripped the paper in two. Aha! I thought.... and turned the tool around and used the handle end for scoring (since it wasn't as sharp) Since it worked great as a scoring tool after doing that, I feel like whether the design was intentional or accidental, I actually have another cutter. They should talk about this in the advertising of it because had I not tried the duller end of the tool, I might have had a more negative review. I like how it comes with directions and measurements to make envelopes and gift boxes as well. The markings for the ruler could be darker which would make it easier to read, but it's not a deal breaker. All in all, it's a good price. ... Especially because it's like getting 2-in-1 of you use it as a cutter. I always enjoy finding out there are fun toys like this to simplify a project instead of "the way I have been doing it"! Do you NEED one of these? No, probably not. BUT I say Why Not make it easier, quicker, and more accurate if you can? 😊

I did a lot of research before purchasing my first board . i am very pleased that i chose this one.

Wow. I never knew what I was missing out on not having a scoring board in my craft tools, but this thing is amazing. After watching a YouTube video on how to make a simple pop up box card, I made this purple box card super fast--it was ridiculous! Usually I have to get out a ruler and score tool to score even just one card. With this, you can make envelopes, boxes, cards, folders so fast, it's fabulous. At first, I was annoyed that the side and top rulers were etched and not painted, but I'm good with that now. I would rather have imprinted instead of painted because paint wears off. To fix it, I used a Q-tip and black arcrylic paint to dab over the measurements. After it dried, I cleaned the excess off with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol. Yes, it's a little more work, but at $17 for this magical tool, I'm not going to complain. It's an easy, helpful crafting tool at a great price!

As a customer, I am extremely happy with the Scoring Board that I purchased. It is a great size and I have been using it for paper crafts, cards, invitations, and envelopes. It scores flawless, crisp lines every time and has made my projects look professional. The board comes with one alignment triangle and one bone folder, which are both really handy tools to have. I just love this scoring board and would highly recommend it to anyone who does a lot of paper crafts or needs to score lines on a regular basis. It has been a great addition to my craft room and I know I will be using it for years to come.

The packaging is terrible and item looks old and dusty. Lucky after some clean it looks ok.

I love my scorer. So much better than my cricut one. I find I can do cards much more efficiently with my own cutter and scorer

I use this item daily, for scoring card blanks. Very crisp scoring. I like that fact that the scoring lines are every 1/8" of an inch, and not only in 1/2" or cms. Very good for making rectangular envelopes, I always make my own to go with my cards. The only problem is, that the sizes given with the scoring tool, do not make the envelopes the correct size, so I use the same lines to score on but make the size of the paper1/2"-1" larger and that seems to work. I also made a template for every size envelope on the scoring board, making a note on the envelopes, size of paper and the scoring lines. No instructions for making square cards, but quite easy to work out. I would not be without it.
