Charging would be betterOverall, a pleasant surprise. My puppy loved this from day one of crate training, and it ensured he felt like he was not alone at bedtime. Literally, we had no crying from the moment we started using it.It is well made and durable. The heartbeat is powered by AAA batteries, would be better if rechargeable. The heartbeat feels and sounds realistic. You can easily wash the teddy in the washing machine, obviously remove the heartbeat machine before.I made sure to keep this only for bedtime, so my puppy wouldn’t chew it, and recognise it as bedtime too. Its worked wonders and I highly recommend - so does my pup, as you can see in the photo.

Super cute and as pictured. Good size for my 9 week old Cocker Spaniel puppy to curl up into (he is 4kg currently)He settles on it really well and curls up to it in his crate for naps during the day and to sleep at night. Really would recommend, it has helped him to settle and separate from me while he sleeps.

Rey is a mini dachshund who is now 6 months old. We bought our first for her coming home. At 8 weeks this was simply the best thing I'd ever bought. It was soft, safe and reassured her. Night sleep time the heart beat went on and she would lay on it and from what I could tell it provided her a lot of comfort. By 10 weeks the heart beat was still a night thing but she'd taken to dragging it about. Quickly it got grubby and the washing machine beckoned. It held up well. It didn't bleed its colour onto anything else and it kept its . She cried for it to be dry and sat under the clothes line waiting for it. Over hot days it still took 2 days to dry which seems like a lot. In all this time the battery didn't run out. Our issue started at 12 weeks. We no longer used the heartbeat as she'd learned how to open the velcro. She still used it for comfort but she also wanted to play with it. At 13 weeks she was on her 2nd one. At this point I still thought it was good value. A few days ago I ordered numbers 5 and 6. They arrived yesterday. I couldn't get two Brown so I got the normal one and the cream. The cream is smoother in texture but I don't really see any differences. Rey does. She has showed zero interest in the cream at all. But they arrived yesterday afternoon and by this morning she gotten through the brown, big hole and tons of stuffing. For a toy to comfort it's great but once they start playing it's a no. With the price she won't be getting another for about a days play.

It would be great if it actually had some stuffing in it! I’m not sure what happened but it looks like the manufactures forgot to finish stuffing this one and it’s almost empty of all stuffing in the middle of its body - there’s none in the neck area at all. The 2nd toy (white one) is what I bought the first time but it was 2nd hand. Absolutely no issue with stuffing so was a bit surprised to get this new one like this. I don’t know what to do with it at this point because I don’t have the energy to return to be honest. It’s most likely the manufacturer trying to save money, like every item in this country now. More expensive and poorer quality. Very frustrating.

Lovely well made toy I got for my dog who is very anxious. Space underneath with strong Velcro opening to put heartbeat into. The heartbeat mechanism is roughly 2 inches wide circle shape and takes small AAA batteries which, is secured within the unit. Easy to feel when turning in and off. The dog carried it around with her and lays with her head on it. The heartbeat unit easily comes out for washing the actual toy. It’s so good for what I needed it for.

We bought this for our puppy to help him sleep. Sadly it didn’t really help him he use used it as a daily toy.

The stuffed toy is not top rate but good enough to be chewed and dribbled on, but the heartbeat is fabulous! My puppy lays with her chin across the toy’s back and sleeps all night. The heartbeat lasts for 8 hours and you just tap it to start again. Very easy and much loved.I’ve given 5 stars because overall it’s worth buying
