Great mastering
These CD's were remastered by Mastering maven Bernie Grundman. His work is always superior from all the projects he did while at A&M Records to his exemplary work at Bernie Grundman Mastering. He had done a superb job on these six studio albums which were obviously sourced from first generation tapes. Great price-$20 from Amazon for all six titles. Can't beat that. For my money, they sound infinitely better than the original masters and the more recent ones done by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. Much more natural sounding and not heavily limited.

Super collection
All these years I’ve only had the greatest hits CD. It dawned on me that if I liked those songs there was a good chance I would like some of their deeper cuts. Each disc is in a cardboard sleeve and the set in a larger box. The discs were unblemished and I did not detect any bad places. The recordings are clear and based on the songs I am familiar with they are originals. Thie price was right for this collection and overall I am pleased with it.

CD
WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS?? ITS THE EAGLES! I just wish that it had "The long road out of Eden" included because it is hard to find. I also wished that it had a "pamplet" about each CD but overall I am happy with it. It does come in a box while each CD is in a "paper" sleeve (hence a pamplet about each CD). I would recommend getting it anyway if you are a die hard EAGLES FAN! The price is good and the sound and quality is great.

Compelling remasters of the entire studio work.
This is a great buy, even when compared to the newer SACD releases. These Bernie Grundman remasters are incredibly solid, and some might even prefer them to the newer SACD versions, which at this point are way overpriced. This is a compact and quite simple box with similar mini-LP slips. The art is decent, and the CDs have a white Asylum paint with song titles for the first two, sky-colored art for the second two, and then custom art for the last two releases. No booklets are included. This is not a lavish set, and there is not a lot of money behind it. The cost reflects The Eagles amazing discography well, and these remasters are fairly dynamic and well worth hearing. You won't find a better price.

should have included the live CD
OK, the Eagles studio albums included are classic, and sublimely enjoyable. But the "Eagles Live" double vinyl album (now on CD of course) should have been included, since it was a coda for the original run of the band.Naturally getting all the original studio albums in one neet package, is a bargain and a great listening experience. If the live album were included, I would have given it a 5 star rating.Sadly if you enjoy the Eagles you probably have Greatest Hits Vol 1 and or 2. Thus you own most of the treasures here. Make a financial decision if you are a casual listener. If you "need" the full albums, GO FOR IT.

You Can Check Out Anytime You Like But You Can Never Leave
...Let me just say first off that we all have heard the classics by the Eagles and of course what's not to like I mean hey, they're the frickin' Eagles! Well for those of you who have lived under a rock or have never turned on a radio your entire lives I say listen up and an by this six CD set if you're looking for some perfect classic rock ...The Eagles have only recorded 7 studio albums since they started their incredible long run and 6 of them are right here in this set all remastered and they sound excellent from their self titled debut in the Country Rock realm and their very sizeable sophomore release 'Desperado' concept album and On The Border' to their more Progressive Rock stint with 1975's release One Of These Nights bringing in a 5th member in guitarist/ songwriter Don Felder to their breakthrough monster album 'Hotel California' in 1976 featuring the title track and other greats and also the introduction of James Gang / solo artist guitarist Joe Walsh as their twin attack which complimented Don Felder's very unique song writing and guitar talents and then finally the swan song in the box set 'The Long Run' where all the members submitted their own brand of songs and showing off their individual talents and bringing 1979's 'The Long Run' high into the charts without compromising their musical values ..All and all The Eagles gave us some damn fine music from a decade they helped define in those super 70's, it's certainly a must have for any true music fan.
