I have never purchased a harness for my dog before, but I definitely should have done it sooner! For reference, she is a corgi, very low to the ground and about 35 pounds. I purchased a size medium. It took some adjusting, but it fits her well. I kind of wish that it didn’t go over the head to put it on, but she really doesn’t seem to mind it and then it’s just an easy two clips. Right away, I noticed that she was pulling much less. The first walk that we took with her and her best dog friend was much more enjoyable because she wasn’t constantly pulling and straining. I definitely felt better as a pet parent , knowing that it wasn’t hurting her neck. So far, I’ve only tried the hook on the back, not the one in the front. The color is super cute and it must be comfortable, she had it on all day at a baseball tournament when it was very hot and it didn’t seem to bother her at all. My boyfriend had purchased a different brand for his dog, and he remarked that he liked mine much better :) so I have a feeling he will be purchasing one as well

Comfortable harness for doggie!
Love this harness! I've used a different no pull harness for years but noticed that it goes across my dogs shoulders limiting them. This one goes between their legs so their shoulders are free. The first time I out on my dog he actually pranced down the sidewalk. I could tell it was more comfortable for him! As a side point, Hes been used to a harness that goes over his head but this one is a little bit tighter and he doesnt super love that but hes getting used to it. Also I've gotten tons of compliments on how good it looks. Definitely worth a try for your pup!

Fits well! Looks great!
My puppy is a 8month old chihuahua mix at 28lbs. I measured her using the guide and she was recommended a size small. The harness fit perfectly and has plenty of room to grow with it. I am happy to have a harness that she can't slip out of either. I love the quality, that its comfortable for her and easy to clip on. I like that there is reflective threads on it, wish there was a bit more. The two areas to clip the leash is great for when I need her to pull less I clip the leash in the front. Plus my trainer likes that the harnesses straps do not limit her shoulder mobility.

Amazing harness, but falls short in the straps
I’ve been using this harness for about 3 months, so now I think I can write an honest review of it. Pros: - Very affordable price; for the quality you get, the price is more than fair. - Unique patterns; I love the unique flair. You won’t see these patterns anywhere else! - Great metal hardware; Back-attaching ring has no visible wear. The front ring has chipped a bit, so they may be coated different. It’s purely a cosmetic issue. - Good stitching; Everything is stitched multiple times. I don’t foresee any of the stitching breaking open. Very tight and secure. - Smooth padding; And the best part, very little dog hair sticks to it, if that’s something that bothers you. - Handle; it’s somewhat small, but it gets the job done in case you need to grab your dog. Cons: - Plastic sliders loosen while on the dog. I think it’s a combination of the sliders not having enough grip, the straps being a very smooth and silky nylon, and the dog’s elbow pushing on it. - Padding gets VERY heavy when wet. It sags away from the dog’s body, and because the straps are nylon, they will loosen up in water. Bear that in mind when considering activities in the water. - Lacks some reflective properties; It has a few point of reflection, but I would love to see reflection all around the back plate of the harness. - Back plate too short on large size. Because of this, the girth straps get pulled into my dog’s elbows. Overall: I think this is a great harness for the price. I enjoy using it. I love all the fun colors and patterns. The materials are great. The biggest downfall is in the strapping and fit. There are some things to be improved upon, but this harness is already very nice. If I were to suggest some changes, I would: - Make the back plate longer on the bigger sizes, so the girth straps sit further back on the dog. - Double over the girth straps like the chest straps OR find sliders with more grip OR add a plastic or elastic loop to keep the sliders from slipping up. - Possibly change the padding so that it isn’t as absorbent.

Company Helped with Broken Harness
**UPDATE AUGUST , 2019** I got in contact with Embark via email. I discussed the failure of the harness and what I thought could be improved. Lo and behold, they sent me an updated version of the harness, with more solid bluckes, and thicker metal D rings. The harness is now held up for well over a year. I have to say I am deeply impressed with how responsive and Embark has been with their customers. I am also happy to say, that the new large harness is definitely sufficient for my Alaskan Malamute. **AUGUST 26TH, 2019** We had a good few months with the harness. However, today it looks like part of the plastic components broke. The part that broke was the plastic adjusters on the right neck strap. I'm going to have to remove a few stars from my review, because this clearly shows that the plastic components on the harness are quite fragile. Keep in mind, I take the harness off my dog when we are done with our walks/runs. **APRIL 26TH, 2019** Shopping around for a harness was a pain, and I was initially unsure of the the Embark Adventure Harness. I hope my review can help you. There were many reviews complaining about the front D ring attachment, so I'll get to that in a bit. Still, I am very happy with the harness now that I have it. The Adventure Harness is well designed- Embark knew what a functional harness should be. The harness is made of very light weight material. It feels lighter than any of the similar-looking harness you can find on Amazon. The material is also quite smooth. Slipping it onto your dog is very easy. There is no struggling to get it over his head. As a result, my dog was much happier to put the Embark Adventure Harness on than his old Good2Go harness. That being said, make sure your dog does not chew on this harness. The fabric is so light, that if they did chew on it, they could probably damage the nylon quite easily. Embark also knew what they were doing when they made the initial color selection for the Adventure Harness. The Adventure Harness comes in black/grey, teal, and orange. The teal and orange harnesses are bright and easy to see at a distance. Orange is an especially important color for when you and your pup hike! The bright colors also help you to see if ticks have latched onto your dog. So, thank you so much Embark for including teal and orange! The next feature is the handle. The handles looks like it is securely sewn into the harness. It isn't very large and it sits quite close to the rest of the harness. Despite this,it is easy to grab onto if you need to help your dog or keep him close to you. This feature is not included on many harnesses (even Ruffwear does not include it)- it was very important when I was choosing one! Thank you Embark! The inside of the chest-plate also features a spot to write down your dog's name and your phone number. While this is a nice feature, the lable is just printed onto the fabric. With use, I can see it wearing off or washing off. Perhaps a sewn-on lable would be a better idea? The buckles for the Embark Adventure Harness are also made over extremely light plastic. To make them even lighter, they have slits in them. I am not too fond of this; I inspect them before every outing. While I understand the slits keep the buckles light and production costs low, they should be made of solid plastic or metal. The buckles are the only part of the harness that feel cheap and make me nervous. I think a metal buckle (of a similar material to the attachment points) would be a better, more secure choice. The back attachment point is made of a relatively light ring. It feels solid and the stitching looks secure. Now, for that infamous front D ring! In many of the reviews from 2018, I see that the front attachment point had a thin D ring attached to it. The front D ring was made of a round piece of metal that was slightly open on the flat side. In this older version of the Adventure Harness, the D ring was only for attaching your dog's ID tags- it was NOT designed for attaching the leash. The nylon webbing was where they expected you to attach the leash. Why? I am not sure, but people assumed the D ring was the front attachment point. This is what caused all those front D ring failures. HOWEVER.... ....The D ring on my harness is different. As you can tell in my over-exposed image, the front attachment point now consists of a solid, thick ring. I can see that there is no opening on the ring at all. As a result, it seems to hold up just fine. The webbing it is attached to is also firmly sewn into the harness. Unlike my dogs previous harness, the webbing does not shift much - this makes the front attachment point very secure. Overall, the decision to make the front attachment point a solid, metal ring was a brilliant one. I can tell that Embark really listens to their customers! Overall, I'm happy with this product and Embark's responsiveness. I will keep this review updated as I continue to use this harness.

A step up from other brands in quality
I purchased this when I left a different harness (poypet 2019 version) behind while out of town. I liked the poypet. I had purchased it spending as little money as possible, not knowing if I or my pup would like a harness. Since I found the poypet useful, I decided to spend a little more money, and see if I felt I would get resulting better quality. While there are things I liked better about the poypet harness. I definitely prefer the embark. I was a little worried at first that this did not have as lengthy padding for the straps as my other one. In fact it does not rub my very fine, thin coated Great Dane at all. I have left it on her all day before, and she completely forgot she had it on. I bought it for her at ten months, lean at 32” tall at the shoulder. It definitely has plenty of room for a much bigger dog. Mine is adjusted to just a little bigger than the smallest settings when I purchased it. It is considerably heavier than the poypet. For me this is fine, perhaps in a smaller dog you would prefer the lighter type. It is important to note that these harnesses will not cure pulling on their own. They are simply a tool to give you more control as you work on more consistency in your dog’s training. The biggest improvement in this harness over the other is that the straps do not get twisted around on themselves and loosen as we walk. My dog usually walks on a loose leash just fine, but she is still young, so a butterfly will make her suddenly decide to jump a ditch, or a particularly good smell in the woods or a deer jumping out of the woods make her forget that she is attached to me. In these cases neither of these will keep her from pulling (I don’t think anything would) but what they do, is give me enough control that I’m not pulled in that direction as well, and she quickly realizes she is still attached to me. The front clipped harness also gives me enough control that she doesn’t pull the leash from my hands when she surprises me with one of these leaps to nowhere. When this would happen with our first harness, while I didn’t lose my dog, the harness would slide around and the front straps would get all twisted, so we’d have to stop to rearrange it all. And of course, the more it happened the worse it was as the fabric and straps started to prefer the twisted state over the flat state. I cannot tell you how annoying this begins to be. While the embark harness will occasionally slip a little, it never bunches up because the straps don’t loosen when she pulls. I think if she had a slightly longer or thicker coat (like a lab’s) it probably wouldn’t slip at all. My pup likes it too. When I grab it from the hook, she tries to wriggle herself in. The heavier buckles are easier to get buckled on an excited Great Dane puppy. She is learning that the more calm she is, the sooner we get to go, but when she’s particularly excited or I’m in a hurry, that’s always a plus. One final thing I like about either harness over a collar: When she was much younger, and we were walking in public two different adult dogs who were leashed but out if control, snarled and lunged at her. For a long time after she was frightened when walking by other dogs walking in the other direction and she would try to slip her collar to run away. Both harnesses absolutely keep this from happening, so if you have a dog who tries to slip their collar for any reason, get a harness. One thing that I do like better about the other brand’s harness is that it is definitely more brightly reflective if walking at night. But the Embark is overall a much better quality and more substantial harness. It is definitely worth the $9 difference in price, and it looks as good today after 2 months of daily use as it did new. I highly recommend.

High Quality
The harness is high quality material with strong stitching and metal clips for attaching the lead. The buckles are plastic but also good quality. The fit was perfect for my 27 lb cocker spaniel with a 22inch girth.

Nice harness, fits awkwardly on a Boston Terrier.
Lightweight harness, I bought a small for my Boston Terrier fit was good under belly but it was to up under her chin and the opening for her heard was tight.

Pretty and does the job
Got this for my 90lb German shepherd we adopted. She is very long and she is thin and fit, and this fits her well. It doesn’t look like the picture because she is so long, but she seems to like it a lot. She is very strong so we wanted something better than just a collar, and she also kept getting the leash tangled in her legs. This harness helped keep better control of her when she wanted to pull and stopped the leash from getting tangled in her legs. It’s easy to put on and take off, and it’s light weight and doesn’t cause and chafing even though my dog has pretty short fur. This is my first harness and I’m happy with it. I saw a harness specifically for anti-pulling that cost at least double this one, and honestly, I think this one works just fine for that. It has two places, front and top, where you can attach the leash if you have a strong pulling dog. Highly recommend.
