Start-X Car Remote Starter Kit for Honda Accord (2008-2012)

I bought this remote start kit for my wife’s car for Valentine’s Day because: A). The price B). The reviews C). Plug and play installation, and I was not disappointed on any point!! This was a simple installation on our 2010 Honda Accord LX-P. The directions were simple and very precise. Installation was a breeze IF you read the instructions provided and have some amount of mechanical ability. I’m no certified mechanic by any means but I do my own automotive maintenance on all my vehicles because I enjoy doing things on my own. Plus it’s a lot less expensive if you can do it yourself. Programming the module was a breeze if you just read the instructions and do them step by step. Worked the first time with no issues. The only drawback, which has absolutely nothing to do with Start-X, is that you need to make sure that you turn on the defroster and fan with heat BEFORE you shut the car off in the evenings so that you will have defrosted windows the next morning. But I see that as very minimal and well worth the extra “effort”……. Thanks Start-X for a great product that does what it says it does!

Simple, easy install work flawlessly

Great product. It saves me time and keeps me comfortable in any season. In the summer, I don’t have to sit in a hot car I just turn it on remotely and let it cool down. In the winter, it’s just as helpful because I can warm up the car before getting in. Overall, it makes my daily routine easier and way more comfortable.

Love that I can warm the car up before I go. Easy peasey install. Takes more time to tuck excess wire up and out of the way than the actual install of the module. Love getting into a cool car in the summer and a warm one in the winter. Worth the money to me.

It's a great addition to your car. It wasn't that hard to install either. I was able to run the cables under the pull down handle and close everything without any issues. I connected the cables to the car first after watching the video and then used the instructions to program it. It was easy peezy lemon squeezy! Lol.

The product's installation video and printed instructions made installing this remote started on my 2009 Honda Accord a breeze. The hardest part of the project was getting the cowling on the steering wheels together again. NOT an issue due to the Start-X module, just an issue with the Honda's plastic cowling. (Actually something that was an issue BEFORE I ever bought the remote starter kit.) I solved the problem with a couple of drops of super glue. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this remote starter kit. Unlike other kits, this one used Honda's OEM key fob to start and stop the engine remotely. No extra fob needed. I installed this in August, but as we began December, the temperature dropped to below freezing and the winds have been gusting to 30 - 40 mph. Nothing better than to enter a car that's warm and toasty at this time of the year.

Truly was plug and play. If you can read at a 5th grade level and can follow instructions, simple installation. Disclaimer for my box module. It states in the booklet to press and hold the program button, then plug the 20 pin black connector and wait for a red light to flash before releasing the prog button. The red light never worked or flashed on my module. Regardless, I followed the steps, waiting for the seconds in between even without the red light flashing, and the program worked just the same. The green light did flash during the steps it was called out in. Works fine with the original FOB.

customer support needs a trouble shooting option, module just click after programming 3 times, probably something simple but only way of contact is email, tried reprogramming several times step by step only to be greeted with same clicking. install was very very simple. never could get it to start car or do anything except click.

It was nice easy to installed for honda accord 2009. Nice product follow the intructions and its done perfectly.

Works great, took about 20 minutes to install in total (car pulled apart, connected, wires routed and reassembled). No issues. 👍🏽
