Good quality exit button, it's very solidly built. The plastic housing is sturdy - 4mm thick and feels like it's made from ABS (though it doesn't say). No holes pre-drilled so it looks clean on the outside and you can make holes where required. The button is mounted to a 1.5mm thick metal plate.The wires coming from the switch are sealed in heat shrink and glue which should make them watertight - as long as your own wiring is sealed as well of course. Only slight issue is that the heat shrink makes the wires push out of the back of the switch too much so it's hard to get the switch plate into the outer case. It does bend and fit with a bit of pushing but feels like it could have been done better. I have solved this by heating the heat shrink with a hot air gun to make it soft and then bending it to fit so there will be less pressure inside the box.Other than that though this is a good switch that looks good and from the look and feel of it should last a long time.

The build quality of this item is excellent. The front panel looks like brushed steel, the letter engraving and green colouring are great, and the button has a good feel to it when pressed. My only complaint is the supplied back box. The front panel will not sit flush in the back box because the length of the switch, attached wires, and heavy-duty heat shrink tubing is approximately 10mm too long.The only way to make it work would be to utilise the centre hole in the box and enlarge it so that the additional 10mm could protrude from the back. Personally, this is not an option for me, as I wanted the cables to enter from the side. As a result, I’m not able to recommend this product due to the limitations described

Whether 100s of people or just a few people will need top press the button to exit through the security door, this button box is what you need. It's solidly built for heavy use. All accompanying wires / screws are in the box. It's simple case of wiring it up to the electrics which unlock the door. Professional looking, brushed metal. Big green button. Clear wording: 'Press To Exit'. Can't go wrong really.
