Impressive!
I've had a lot of battery tools over the years but I've stayed away from outdoor equipment because I'm even tougher on and more demanding of outdoor equipment than I am my shop tools. A while ago I did get a 6" battery chainsaw, a cheap knockoff, and I was impressed with it. It was so easy to use and it was so useful! Then my 16" Stihl chainsaw died and I was forced to make a choice, electric or gas to replace it. I have a 20" & 28" gas saw for heavy cutting. This is my light duty saw, it's for limbs, small trees, yard cleanup. While it never sees the hardest use, it's the saw I'm most likely to grab for some quick project. While I was skeptical, the reviews both on Amazon and the rest of the internet, had me believing this EGO Power+ CS1611 might be the right choice. Turns out it definitely is the right choice. I had a small tree (about 25 ft tall, 12" diameter) fall over a few days before the saw came. I charged up the battery overnight and got to work in the morning. This saw was every bit as good as my Stihl and in many ways better. It's compact, light-weight, and much quieter. More importantly, it cuts fast. As fast as any small gas chainsaw I've ever had previously. It's well-balanced, the dogs work well, and the no tool chain tensioning is great. I thought the thing I was going to like most about this chainsaw was going to be starting it. Small gas chainsaws are ALWAYS a pain to start, even when they're broken in and perfectly tuned. I was wrong, although just pressing a button to start it is wonderful. Turns out the thing I love best about this saw is the lack of vibration. I've gotten old enough that the vibration of a chainsaw will leave my wrists, elbows, and shoulders sore after even a fairly short bit of use. I cut up the entire tree and the next day there was no soreness because there's almost no vibration. So if you're older, this saw is much easier on your joints. As far as battery life, I'd say that the included 2.5Ah battery is about equivalent to a 1/2 tank of gas in my old Stihl 16". I did the whole tree on one battery but the battery was done at the end. I've already got a 2nd battery and I think if I run through both batteries my body will be done even if the work isn't. So, if you're looking for a great, small, chainsaw and you're on the fence between gas and battery, get off the fence. This is the saw to get!

EGO battery powered Chain Saw
I've been converting from gas powered tools to battery powered mainly because it's getting too hard to start my two-cycle tools (edger, trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower). I haven't been let down yet. Lot's of power. Battery life isn't a problem because I can only use one tool at a time but I've purchased tools with batteries so I now have 4 fully charged batteries before starting any job. The smaller 2.5mh batteries may not last as long but they are so much lighter that usage vs weight balance out. Also EGO warranty support has been great. I had a blower that stopped working and EGO sent me a replacement. That locked EGO in as my go to lawn tool tool. This chainsaw is a beast and has easily cut down anything I have chosen to tackle. Only one problem: It did not come with bar oil so make sure you purchase a bottle of that. Fortunately I had bar oil from my gas powered chainsaw and ChatGPT said bar oil is bar oil so I was able to use that. You can also search around for the cheapest price. I got my EGO 16" chain saw at the lowest price I'd seen and $40 less than Ace Hardware or Lowes. Unfortunately it had a 10 day delivery time but for the savings, that was worth it for me. Then to my surprise it was delivered in 3 days!! Another bonus from that specific seller.

So much better than gass
This is so much better than my old Craftsman gas chainsaw. Starts every time, quiet, cuts great, not to heavy, plenty of power. I'll never go back to gas again.

Ego tools are pretty cool
Works great, cuts great and easier to use than a gas chainsaw. I have has ones as well but this is just easier to pick up and start cutting. If you already have other ego batteries this is a no brainer if you need a chainsaw. If not, do plan on getting another battery if you will be cutting a lot

Light to medium duty homeowner saw
Recently my wife and I bought an EGO trimmer and blower kit. Although I have a 19 year old Stihl model 025 45cc chainsaw with 100+ hours on it, I decided to get this EGO 16" saw and 2.5 amp-hour battery. I got the small battery to keep the saw light so that my wife can use it and also to keep the other tools light when swapping batteries. Today I tried the saw on a 13 inch diameter solid black cherry log. This is not what this saw is intended for, but I wanted to see how it would do. It is definitely slower than my Stihl saw, but it worked okay. It was harder to keep the cuts straight, maybe because I'm not used to it, but also the thinner bar and chain seem to wander more easily. With both 2.5 AH batteries fully charged, I got 8 1/2 cuts from the first battery and 9 from the second. It also used a full tank of bar oil making these 17 1/2 cuts. *** Bar oil is essential to operation! Do not run without it! Check it before use and whenever changing batteries. *** Doing the math, this run time is about half that advertised, but cherry is likely a lot harder than whatever 4x4s they were testing. Overall, I think this saw will be good for minor home owner tasks but it is not a replacement for a more powerful saw. It's much more convenient than a gas saw and weighs slightly less than my Stihl. It also requires greasing the bar nose roller periodically, which my Stihl doesn't.

Worth every penny.
Omg this thing works so good. I wish I would have bought one years ago. I'm not going to lie. I wasn't expecting it to be very powerful at all. I was shocked how well this thing works and how powerful it is. I'm not going to say you can go out and cut down a huge Forest full of trees with it, but it works great for stuff that you're going to do around your yard. And it uses the same battery as my hedge trimmer. Which also works really well.

Gret product. Terrible shipping.
Seems like a good product. Worked out of the box. I bought it because I'm getting older and gas saws getting heavier to my arms and pull starting is very difficult. It's also pretty quiet for the amount of power it has. It has a limited battery runtime, but that's not an issue for me because at 60 years old it exceeds my battery-runtime. As far as performance, this thing isn't going to take down trees with a 10" trunk. Neither will a 40cc gas saw. I use it for smaller dead growth cutting in tight spaces. If you're looking at this product to take down large trees, I'd suggest questioning your judgement and maybe hire professionals. It will do great for yard clean-up. I started the review as a 3, but realized it wasn't fair to the product to give it a bad rating for horrible shipping times (3+ weeks from Prime). Also, remember to register the product right away. The manufacturer has a good battery warranty if you do.

Easy to use.
Delight to use. Great not to have to mix 2 stroke oil/gas - or deal with long extension cords. I would recommend having two batteries.

La qualité semble bonne pour le prix.
Je n'ai pas encore coupé du bois, mais je l'ai tout de même essayé, l'appareil me semble bien. Je ferais un commentaire après l'avoir utilisé toute une journée.
