For the Laser Pecker, the Shield is absolutely essential. Some applications are limited by the included cone-shaped shroud with the fan (which is really handy too). The shield makes observation and alignment (with protective glasses) very easy indeed without having to move the laser pecker up and down.

Good machine

There is no nm laser range of protection in description and they are selling this as a laser shield. Yes, their machines may not damage eyes but what about other machines? I purchased for my fiber laser and used this item in confidence. I noticed my vision has been a little blurry lately, upon further research the company does not list nm range and also does not answer my questions when contacting them. I am convinced this is just orange glass they are selling, and should be held accountable for any damages caused by misinformation on the website and amazon page.

Really not impressed. They snap together quick and easy. The plastic that it was shipped in fogged the panels a bit, it cleans off but requires scrubbing. They block the bare minimum light, I have another glass panel that I compared it to and these show a lot more of the Lazer, though it does seem to block enough to protect your eyes. For the price I was hoping for better.

I have no actual complaints with the product. It’s does as described and exactly what I expected from it, but £70 for 4 small sheets of orange plastic with a couple of magnets on is extortionate and I cannot justify the value for money. It is presented well, easy to use as well as install and it does perform well and makes the light from the laser less bright…just can’t get over the price for what it is. They could easily sell this for £25 or £30 and still be making massive markup from what it would cost to manufacture.
