"This Lifesystems midge repellent is a DEET-free formula containing the active ingredient Saltidin® to provide increased protection from midges and smaller biting insects. The 20% Saltidin® based formulation offers medium to high level protection against biting insects for up to 8 hours. It is more suited for sensitive skin than DEET based repellents and is therefore an excellent option for use on children over 2 years of age. Insect and midget repellent
Ordered for my son who gets bitten by midgets and has had reaction. Very good product as does what it says. My son doesn't get bitten anymore. Good value for money.

This is specifically anti-MIDGE
Not effective against some insects, but it does work against ticks - I found (and squashed) 3 of them in my socks but they hadn't bitten my legs (no blood) though Greek mosquitoes or sand-flies, I don't know which, had! Not been put to the ultimate test (yet) - the Scottish Highlands in late summer.

Don’t know why Amazon wants me to rate flavour but I can confirm that there’s a strong taste of garlic, a hint of lime and a large helping of A&E
