Review: Happy with choosing this replacement shower head, no complaints. Purchased November 2024. - Have had installed for a few weeks, seems fine with plenty of water pressure. Never had a "Square shower head" before and saved a little when purchasing on Cyber Monday 2024. Here's a few things I'd like to mention: 1. I've discovered shopping for a new shower head replacement is somewhat of a daunting task; that one may not expect at first because of the wide array of choices and features. Basically my requirements were simple in that I tried to find one that was well made from durable materials and one which would last. However, I've discovered even more expensive models have issues with leaks and other problems over time based on the desertcart reviews that I've read. Based on my own experience over the years with our home, I've changed various shower heads approximately every 4-5 years. To me they all seem to end up leaking or the water flow is diminished based on minerals in the Long Island water over time. Based on this reasoning I don't expect them to last forever and that is why I purchased this specific model which didn't seem too expensive and has most of the features I was looking for. 2. This square shower head has a larger spray area than my last (Which was round) and works perfectly without any issues whatsoever. And I would earnestly add that the large spray area is superior to past shower heads I previously used. The water pressure is fortunately plenty strong out of each individual nozzle stream. (I was a somewhat concerned / worried before ordering because I recall I had read a few reviews with this specific model that outlined "Low Pressure" but I Did Not experience this myself at all and specifically found the pressure to be very strong in fact. The square nozzle head also tilts up and down and side to side a bit, which helps shorter people like other family members. 3. The wand hose is somewhat shorter than the last model I had installed, but despite this it is more than adequate I've found to reach all areas of the body. The "Wand" has two different settings, "Spray" and "Jet" and are activated by a slide switch. The Wand setting does "Not Function at all" while the main square shower head is on and in use. I use this jet setting with the "Wand" and found it is very, very high pressure which is great. In addition, I would add the jet setting stream of the wand is ergonomically designed and works well to clean between the legs and other hard to reach spots of the body. (The "Jet setting" nozzle angels / changes the high-pressure Water flow to a "Flatter horizontal stream" opposed to Round.) 4. No issues with installation. Just needed a pair of plyers. (I used a larger channel lock plyer, but ordinary plyers should also work adequately if that's all you got on hand.) I removed my old shower head and cleaned the threads for a few seconds with an old toothbrush and soap and water. I then dried the threads with a paper towel and installed the enclosed "Pipe tape" on the water pipe that you use to screw on the nozzle. I also used this enclosed "Teflon tape" on the wand and hose fittings before installations (3 to 4 wraps on each.) No leaks or any other issues, I would say it would take about 10 to 15 minutes to remove old nozzle and install this newer model. (I turned the fittings with my fingers and made all connections finger tight first. Then I carefully tightened then each with the plyers. Don't use to much force and try not to press down or "Clamp down" too hard on the plyers, be gentle and only tighten 1 quarter turn after finger tight approximately. Be as gentle as you can with the plyers so you don't leave marks on the fittings. 5. The Wand is hung up by a small piece of plastic connector, I would expect this to break sometime in the future, so I am careful when removing the wand from the connector when using and putting it back. I would hope to get at least 3 years before it breaks, perhaps longer? In the event the "Plastic Connector" does eventually break I think a simple "S" hook would suffice in holding it up if one didn't mind it hanging. So in a nut shell; based on the features of this specific shower head and the affordable cost I feel I made a good choice when purchasing this specific model. In fact this item stood out rather quickly when comparing them side by side to other various shower heads listed on desertcart.

**Q: What is the gpm**
A: hi lalarson2107,  I don't know what the gpm on this unit is, but I can tell you that even after taking out the low flow sealers it still is not near enough.  I bought a filter to go with it, and spent just under $100 for both.  I'm biting the bullet so to speak, and going back to lowe's today to get one like I had for over 7 years.  I don't like this unit at all, not near enough pressure, and even after a plumber tightened it up, the darn thing drips.  I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this unit.  Sorry.

**Q: How sturdy is the clip for the wand? Does it easily break? Does the shower head tend to move when removing and replacing wand?**
A: Two questions here. First regards the durability of the clip. While ours was only installed about two months ago, it seems sturdy. We use it all the time and have not had any worries it will break. The second question involves movement of the head when using the wand. Yes, there CAN be some movement when moving the head. How much it moves - if at all - depends on how tight the connection is when installed, and how you remove the wand. Ours will easily slide in and out without moving the head as long as we move it "east-west" vice "north-south." Hope this answers your questions.

**Q: Some people say the pressure is good with both heads on and some people say you can’t use both at the same time.  Which is it?  Can I use both heads?**
A: The dial has three settings.  One for the dense rain affect tiny heads, one for the horizontal more powerful spray heads, and one for the Wand.  There is not a setting for both the first one and the wand.  This can only be achieved if you turn dial so it is in Between the two spray click settings.  If the flow restrictors have been removed, then you might have enough pressure to do this.  I have tried it, and it seems to work ok, but just not quite as powerful. BUT, I'm not sure you would get the results you desire, if the flow restrictors have not been removed.  I removed the flow restrictors in mine, which was easy, and gives me the pressure I like.

**Q: Can I turn on the water for just the handheld and not the shower head?**
A: Yes. Absolutely. You can easily do it with the turn of a button.

So I don't always do reviews but I felt this was in definite need of one. I honestly was not sure this would work with my shower because as you can see from the photo I have a ceiling mount. The shower head I had on there was okay It was round and I knew it came off because I have to clean it constantly because it has so many holes. Also I really wanted and needed a handheld portion and I didn't have one put in when I had the house built which I regretted after. I had searched a little online mentioning rain shower head ceiling mount with handheld and 95% of what came up was the two pieces separate which is how it technically should be. This one all of a sudden popped up on my recommended page and because it's a ceiling mount I wasn't sure if it would work especially since as you can see the hose is dangling in the middle of the shower. Well it does work and it works amazingly!!! I am so glad I went ahead and bought it just to see if I could make it work. Honestly the hose hanging down isn't as big of an annoyance as I thought it would although I am going to stick a hook on the tile just to hang it on and get it out of the way. The different adjustments on this thing are great. You can either do all of the small holes so pretty much just like a standard rain shower head or you can position it to do the Jets and the small holes as well as just the Jets. You can also manipulate it to do the Jets on the shower head itself as well as the handheld although when you do that if you hit the button on the handheld the water pressure is pretty low for the strong stream. However when you adjust it to do just the handheld it's perfect. The long stream comes in handy washing the dogs which is what I needed it for mainly. It was very easy to install and came with extra parts the main parts are pre-installed so pretty much just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. You can also tilt the main shower head portion once it's installed by tightening its base if you wanted to point it more towards the back of the shower or what have you. The only thing is which is no fault of the shower head itself is that I am short in which makes it difficult for me to actually grab the handheld when it's in its holder on the shower head I actually have to stand on my tip toes. But again that is no fault of the shower head itself! I highly recommend this especially if you have a ceiling mount and don't want to have to call someone to split the pipe behind your tile. I honestly think I'm going to get one to put in my guest bathroom which is just a standard shower but it also currently does not have a handheld on it. Hope this helps somebody since I didn't see any current videos or photos of someone with A ceiling mount currently using it!!!
