When I ordered this kit, I was planning to use my portable a/c unit in a shed so I could work on organizing it without dying of heat stroke during the Texas summer. I had not installed it yet when the a/c went out in my home. I remembered I had purchased this kit so I set the portable a/c up in my living room with it venting out the window. I drain the condensation the unit pulls from the air into a 5 gallon bucket. I am so thankful I already had the window vent kit when this happened because outside temps have been near or greater than 100 degrees during the days. I have managed to keep the open living/kitchen area at around 80 degrees. The vent kit was so easy to set up and the extra panels allow it to fit a range of window sizes. Just remember that you do need to purchase the hose separately. And I suggest purchasing a longer hose than you think you will need. It took nearly a month for my homeowner's warranty company to get a tech out to my home to determine the problem with my a/c. It will require replacement, so now it will be over a month that my a/c was out. Thank goodness for the portable a/c and this window vent kit!

This kit was exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy for my unusual sized window or sliding door. Easy to assemble.

I took a chance and just had to hope this fit my unit and it did. The way they measure the thing I wasn't sure. The slot in the back of my unit measures 7 x 4. But the tube is almost 6" in diameter, so I thought this had to be it. I read that some had to remove the two tabs on the part that slides into the frame on the back, but I didn't need to trim them. The plate extends above the 4" frame, and this is what it is supposed to do. It has 3 clamps that help to hold the tubing in place which I really appreciated! I get so sick of reconnecting that tube as hot air pours into the room I am trying to cool. It is good quality and easy to install.

I was worried this wouldn’t be tall enough for the intake tube like I purchased in the past and had to but wood to level it. Solved that awkward problem. Perfect and looks like good quality. I like how adjustable it is.
