I'm not an afficianado. I live in the high desert, and I wanted something to keep my tobacco from drying out. This Megacra Humidor is constructed well. The cedar interior retains moisture well, and works effectivley with Boveda humidity control packets. The included hygrometer seems to have some variance maybe (+/-) 5% relative humidity.

This is a beautiful humidor. It came without any flyers with nice packaging. It was easy to get it to the correct humidity levels following the enclosed instructions. It has maintained humidity just fine. It has a quality feel and finish and works very well.

After shopping for some time I decided to try this humidor. It arrived in good condition and I was certainly impressed with the classy appearance and quality fit and finish. The recessed hinges open smoothly and allow for a good seal. The leather and stitching is absolutely flawless. I am quite pleased with how excellent this looks sitting on my office desk and it has already received several compliments in a short time.The only real issue I had upon set up was that the analog hygrometer was broken. I sent an email to Megacra and I received a prompt response that afternoon. I must say in a world of failing customer service Megacra is a breath of fresh of air. They were very polite, professional and offered to immediately replace the hygrometer or refund a small amount allowing me to purchase my own. I opted for the latter and purchased a small digital hygrometer that was pre calibrated. Their customer service rep contacted me periodically to make sure everything was going smoothly and properly. I can’t say enough good things about the company and their dedication to the customer. It is truly appreciated.I originally followed the seasoning directions supplied with the humidor only to find it did not seem to season properly, therefore I purchased a Boveda seasoning pack and allowed the humidor to season for the required 2 weeks. As soon as this was complete I placed my Boveda 72% rh packets in and the humidity level is remaining rather constant so far but not perfectly so. I am currently at 65-66% rather than the 70-71% I have found to be normal when using the Boveda 72% pack.It seems to me most cigar smokers do so as a hobby, for relaxation or perhaps as a compliment or reflection of their lifestyles. I think this humidor will work for all of any of those reasons and I truly feel this offers a bit more class than the traditional all wood humidors. And not to mention it certainly works better than those that have a glass viewing window (those generally are pretty bad at holding humidity levels). Thank you Megacra for the excellent customer service and product.So to wrap it up I am giving it 4 stars currently provided the humidity level remains where it is. Should it drop (possibly continue to drop) I will lower it, should it remain the same or improve slightly I will give it 5 stars.

Well built. Holds plenty of cigars

This thing is simple and does the job well. I put a second hygrometer in it to test, and they both are showing the same percentage. After seasoning it I filled it with about 45 cigars. Since then I have opened it several times and haven't had to adjust or add anything. I am just using the humidifier it came with and a PG solution.

2nd humidor I have purchased from this business. The box is quite well made and I have been satisfied. However the hydrometer is pretty worthless. I have contacted their sales line but the inbox is full. Bottom line I'd say buy the humidor but don't expect too much from either the hydrometer gauge or customer service.

Got this as a gift for a buddy. He likes it snd said it holds a good humidity level. That all you really need.

Nice humidor, the only issue is the piece that holds the moisture doesn't stay in its place. The magnet is poorly glued or not strong enough.
