Not sure. I've been taking it for quite a few years and am now 77 and still have a full head of hair.

Extracts should be standardized to 85-95% fatty acids. Berry powders should be standardized to at least 8.5% fatty acids. This product is much closer to a berry powder, therefore your question does not apply. Does this product conform to the standards for berry powders? I don't know, however, I wanted to point out the differences in the products.
