This company has two similar models, the 100 and the 200. I went for the 200 because it is heavier duty. I just installed it on a large door and it works well. Only time will tell about the durability. My only complaint is with the documentation. The 200 can be mounted, depending on your door configuration, either sticking out or parallel to the door using a supplied bracket. The 100 can only be mounted sticking out. They give you templates for mounting but with the 200 they only gave a template for the parallel to the door installation. Because of our door configuration, it had to be mounted sticking out so I had to adapt the template for that. It wasn't hard for me but it would be better for the average person if they supplied templates for both ways of mounting. If it lasts, it is a great value at the price.

This product is not strong enough to pull and keep my commercial door closed. Even with the adjustments set all the way up, when the AC kicks on the door comes open and the alarm beeps- pretty annoying, would just turn off alarm beep, however, it is running my heating and cooling bill up by staying open. Also does not open all the way when you set the tension to the strongest. Which, that does not comply with the ADA act. Sadly had to order one from Grainger and take it in the shorts on this one.

This is described as heavy duty- it is not. it works on the door but probably not for long.

Very good or install is very easy

It included a parallel arm bracket to install on my commercial door. Easy to follow instructions with a template made it easy to install. A very solid built product and doing great on a busy door.

After some adjustments it works great & looks like a commercial hinge 👍

For the average homeowner, think twice before tackling this products installation. The instructions are very poor, with primarily figures and no helpful hints. The diagrams are difficult to read the measurements AND they are in mm, not inches The template they refer to is NOT a template. It is not the actual size which you can cut out and use to mark the where to drill. If you are not a skilled craftsman, hire someone to install it for you.

I bought the 200 model because I needed a parallel arm feature with 180 degree opening. I paid $77 in November 2023, now I see them for $29, if I needed another one I would buy it. Anyway, this is a great little closer. I've installed hundreds of commercial closers over the years, this one installed very easy, the template actually worked too. The adjustments for swing and latch are easily accessed and it adjusts just how I would like it. My only problem with it is that it is on my shop door and the shop is often cold in the winter until I warm it up. The cold affects the hydraulics in the closer and I find I have to tweak it from time to time through the colder days, but that is minor in my situation.

Bought this door closer. It works as advertised. It unfortunately does not have a lock-open function but does stop the door overextending open and closes the door slowly while still latching it. That being said, if you need more than one, buy them all at once and return if its not what you need. As soon as I purchased this item at $50.94, the seller jacked the price to $109. That's more than DOUBLE the price!!! So although I need more, I will buy them elsewhere so I don't get gouged by this seller.
