Super! Did not disappoint.
I've been a fan of this series for nearly 20 years. I got hooked due to friends telling me to watch the show. I had been meaning to watch Dragon Ball Super when it first aired but never got around to it. I did watch Battle of the Gods & the Frieza movie at the cinema a few years ago but I had more or less forgot what happened in them by the time I watched the first episode of DB Super. Having never bought or even seen a single episode I figured at $155 for a box-set this seemed like a great opportunity to finally sit down and watch the whole series. I found the first disc a bit of a drag if I am honest. Fell asleep a number of times but didn't feel the need to rewind. From then on I felt each disc the series started to get better and better. Was it as good as Z? Probably not. But I felt it was what GT ought to have been (sorry if you were a fan of that!) Gohan and Vegeta were fairly disappointing characters at the start but improved massively as the series went on. Whereas the newer characters, I didn't warm too much. From the annoying space ranger to the destructive god who would talk about food, all, the, time... but again, I got used to putting up with them and the last 2 discs made me forget about my early annoyances. Might be some time before I plan on ever re-watching it but I felt I got my moneys worth. As for the DVDs themselves. Item came well packaged, undamaged and a great storage case for the discs. The "Marathon" option was a great way to binge watch them (my wife was busy for a few weeks so I made the most of my free time!) Even though they would have a "recap" segment each episode, that helped me for the times I fell asleep at the start! Overall I enjoyed it. I stayed away from spoilers. I did not read any reviews. I had watched a few of the films that the early Super seasons revolved around. I kept my expectations fairly low and although the violence/blood probably got removed from these episodes, that doesn't bother me as much as it might for other people. A great addition to DBZ series.

Great set one small flaw
The packaging is great but I know how to read so don't come at me I recieved two disc that are exactly the same. Even when played they show the same episodes. So I did have to order another disc with the right ones to complete the set. But one disc out of the entire set isn't bad. Other than that I'm happy with my purchase.

A good option for those looking to pick up the series in one go as opposed to buying them individually, and save a bit of money. The downside to this is the awful first 2 sagas. They are notorious for their low quality animation. The rest of the other sagas are good. Highly recommend to the watch the first 2 sagas in their respective movie format.

Each steelbook has beautiful art that a DBZ fan will love looking over each one, with eyes getting stuck on the shimmering case every time you go to watch. The blu-ray quality is fantastic, and this is the best price the collection has been offered with to date. Arrived in great condition. The buy is worth it.

Love it! As a massive Dragon Ball fan, this fits perfect into my collection. I wish it came fully intact as there was a bit of a slant when it arrived, though I was able to force it back into place and fix it.
