Yellow flame: Yellow Flame Butane

Where has this been all my life! Superb update for any full-size Zippo lighter - so good it should be the new standard Zippo insert in my opinion. I've only been using this butane insert a few days but it is so much better than original. Was having trouble with the performance of the original petrol/fluid insert, which become temperamental in lighting, especially during cold weather. This butane insert however works first time every time. Good value for money, very sturdy build, designed to mimic original aesthetic & fits snug into Zippo Armor Case. Flame is non-adjustable BUT is a good size equivalent to petrol version. Only downside is getting used to holding button down after ignition but a small price to pay. This butane insert doesn't require wicks & is odourless, which is another improvement over fluid inserts (lighter fluid smell has become a bit 'floral' nowadays, which I'm not a fan of). Comes with 1 flint but supplied empty so requires filling by user. FYI I am a heavy smoker & have used Zippo's exclusively for over 20 years - highly recommended product.

Very good insert for a zippo, really smooth operation and seems to hold enough fuel for regular use, it’s been about 10 days of heavy use, and only had to refill once. Also its really different from the regular zippo flame in the respect that when you take your thumb off the ignition button the flame goes out, so you can’t let it sit on a surface like a candle, so if you’re a bit clumsy or have limited hand coordination you don’t have to worry about setting fire to the carpet when you drop it, however you also need to hold the lighter differently than usual to keep it lit so, there’s pros and cons there. Fits perfectly in every zippo case I’ve tried so far, well made as most zippo stuff is. Would recommend.

Personally I prefer the yellow flame insert to the butane versions. It just feels more closely aligned to a traditional zippo lighter without the faff of running out of fuel. Sure it's not windproof but that wasn't a big deal for me. I just wanted to use my Zippo lighter without the worry of feeling it was always going to run out of fuel. It gives a big flame but it looks like you can adjust it, I've just not bothered. Seems really good quality. Overall I'm pleased.

Fits perfectly within the Zippo cases I have and functions well as a gas lighter. The fuel doesn't evaporate and it's made of good, sturdy materials. The only downside is the lack of flame control. The flame is quite large in my opinion and it would be 5 stars if it had this function. Overall, very happy with the product and good value for money.

Great for the softer flame compared to the single 'torch' flame butane version and cleaner, less messy than the original 'petrol' version, and the 'Zippo' build quality is good as expected, but there are a few points that don't quite make sense. Firstly, the original 'petrol' version is (relatively) windproof. The butane 'torch' version is windpoof. This version is not windproof at all. Secondly, it uses a flint, why?!.. the soft flame is the point,.. why not have a quartz crystal spark ignition which would be more convenient than needing to buy and replace flints too? Thirdly, and this one I really don't understand, is that there is no flame adjustment!? Many cheap lighters have the ability to adjust the flame. The butane 'torch' version has an adjustable flame too, of course. You can even tune the flame on the original 'petrol' Zippo by shortening or lengthening the wick. This lighter has a larger than necessary flame that can't be adjusted so will need refilling more often, and you will need to keep the flame size in mind when lighting.

Cigar smoker here so I don’t often use a petrol lighter though I own many zippos and that style of lighter, this insert means I can use my zippos for cigar smoking, decent flame size and holds a good amount of gas, slots straight into a normal zippo and seems to be lasting me well

Der erste Gaseinsatz von Zippo, der auch dicht ist! 😅 Ich habe bereits drei Einsätze mit Gas (die anderen beiden sind in der Sturmvariante), aber die sind selbst unbenutzt nach drei Tagen leer. Dieser hier ist endlich dicht und somit auch für mich brauchbar! Flamme ist nicht regulierbar, aber sie ist ordentlich groß und konstant!

Acquistato per sostituire l’inserto originale. Ottima sostituzione buono e ben funzionante, permette di utilizzare l’accendino con il gas.

Wanted this as my outdoor lighter as the petrol of a normal Zippo evaporates too quickly. Works well.
