Does the Job Perfectly
Simple, basic, good quality, inexpensive, and effective. Fits my Ruger Mark IV 75th Anniversary 7" perfectly. Recommended!

Very good, but very small
I rated this at 5 stars, because for what it is, it's very good. The overall quality is sturdy with a solid zipper, and the seams and liner are well made. The lock is just enough to keep little hands out of the inside of this...don't buy this expecting this to be a secure, locking "case" for your gun...it's a zipper lock, and functions well. A grown person could probably rip the zipper open if they really tried, but for a first line of deterrent, I think it's pretty slick. My only gripe is the size, and that's really on me for ordering a size that is too small. I carry my XD9 subcompact in this (3.5" barrel) and it will simply not fit with the 16rd extended clip. With the 10rd clip it fits, and i can BARELY squeeze in the 2nd clip and zip it closed. I will be ordering the 8" to fit this rig into and use the 6" for other things. Overall a very good case, well worth the $10 I landed it for.

Does what it is intended for very well
I have a small collection of pistols and I have one of these for each of them. I really like them. They are made in the USA and they have worked as intended without any issues. These are fantastic range cases or at-home storage cases. I can easily fit a pistol and an extra magazine in each one. They are not intended to be used as a pistol safe or any other kind of security device. Yes it locks, but that is so the case doesn't accidentally open on the go and your pistol falls out. Anyone with intent can cut open the nylon case and get to the pistol. These cases come in three sizes. 13 inch, 11 inch, and 8 inch. I use the 13s for my full sized pistols and the 11s for my compacts. I originally tried the 8 inch cases for my compacts but they were too small. Here are the pistols I am using for size references. For each one I can fit the pistol and an extra mag with space to spare. 13 inch: Beretta APX CZ P-10 C Glock G45 H&K VP9 Kimber Custom II (1911) S&W M&P9 2.0 SIG P266 Legion SIG P320 SIG P320-M18 Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec Walther PPQ M1 Walther PPQ 22 11 inch: H&K VP9SK (with the 15 round mags) Walther CCP M2

Nice gun mat with a bonus integral locking feature.
I bought this mainly because California requires pistols to be unloaded and in a locked case while transporting if you don't have a CCW. My first purchase was from my local gun store and they have served me well in that regard. In fact, I had two sets of pistols retrieved by CHP during a major auto accident I was involved in and they gave no objection to this item's use as a legal firearm securing device. Of course I am under no illusion that these would keep the unwanted out; they make safes for that purpose. The original ones I bought are still in good working order to this day, that's 3 years of throwing in the trunk with a heavy 5-inch steel 1911 every day (11-inch bag) and the locks are still working, no holes, no nothing. Of course, the bag is now totally form-fitted to my gun, but that's actually a plus for me (a negative for some as the padding has pretty much disappeared). I'd highly recommend this product as it provides a bonus feature, the integrally locking zipper. As a bit of a guide to the sizes, the 6-inch snugly fits my S&W Shield and Ruger SP101, the 8-inch fits my Glock 17, the 11-inch fits my 5-inch 1911s, and the 13-inch bag fits my 6-inch Ruger GP100.

Smaller than I thought
I bought the 8in based on someone else's review and it barely fits my Ruger American standard (4.2 in barrel). The label says that it will fit up to 3in barrel. Wish I had seen that because there's no room for a mag. IMO the 8in case is best suited for a compact weapon. The case is nicely padded and the lock works but I would only use that lock for transporting a weapon, if at all. In my home I use the cable lock as it is a more substantive deterrent. I think it was reasonably priced but I can't speak to durability because I just got it. Will update if threads loosen, fabric frays, or zipper issues arise.

Excellent case for the money.
If you are looking for a durable case that won't break the bank this one is perfect. I had considered going with the smaller version but was worried about room for magazines. The 13" is just right for a full size handgun with 2 extra mags. If you just want to store the firearm you could get away with a smaller version, but I like keeping everything together when I throw it in the range bag. I hate digging through 5 separate compartments to find what I'm looking for. With the 2 extra magazines in the case it keeps everything snug enough to not slide around and scratch each other. This 2 mag + gun configuration fits the 1911, 92FS, and G22 like a charm. Obviously it works for others, but I'm only speaking from my personal experience. The locking zipper feature is neat, though I don't see myself ever using it. Once locked it allows the bag to still be zipped closed but not opened. Very innovative, and doesn't add any bulk to the zipper. However, if kids are around it is going in the steel safe with a real lock. I suppose it could count as having the gun "locked" for transport depending on your state laws.

No lock required. Great case.
Just received the 8" size and fits my Glock 19 snugly. Even more snug with the mag in it, since I'd added a Pearce Grips Extension. Snug but it fits. Seems extremely well made from quality, tough materials. Solid stitching, YKK zipper with an integrated lock! Clever, Allen Co. (See pic) And, yes, this meets the letter and intent of CA law -- the tiny lock is solid, so will definitely keeps little fingers (and bigger ones) off the weapon. Looks like it will last a long time, and I'll update this review if that changes.

I like this case. It is sturdy and we'll padded. The locking zipper is a nice touch. Wouldn't slow down someone determined to break in for long but every bit helps.

J’adore, beau bon pas cher et le système de verrouillage est parfait. Je conseille de prendre grande comme j’ai fait. Mon S&W 9mm va bien de dans et mon Ruger 357 canon de 6 pouces fait aussi avec barrière de pontet.

Is what it is, a cheap soft cover with a cheap lock. I would use this for scratch protection only, the odds of the lock breaking are high.
