I’m sure this book is great if you want to learn Sri Lankan Tamil. I am taking Tamil lessons from a teacher in southern state of India - Tamil Nadu - language = Tamil. Many of the words are similar, but lots and lots of differences and many words my teacher had not heard of. I couldn’t find an obvious reference to this in the advert. Should be made clear.
