Useful.
A useful book to recap and review what has been taught in Year 3. My son finds this books pretty straightforward to follow and each page or double-page spread focuses on one aspect of maths which allows for repeated practice. It starts at the beginning of the year with place value and then builds on the different aspects of maths through the book.

Good practice book!
Built on the National Curriculum, this book gives tasks to practice age-appropriate Maths stuff. As my kids school's use these CGP books for years - I was sure about my purchase. The book has all sorts of various tasks to help repeating in children's brains what they've learnt in class and as we know - practice makes masters! I frankly recommend this book.

Great for teachers, tutors or parents.
A very useful book for teachers, tutors or parents who want age-appropriate questions that match the high-expectations of the Primary National Curriculum for Maths in Year 3. Each page includes an objective, a range of questions that increase in difficulty and a self-assessment at the end. There is also a previous year group objective test to see if there are any aspects of the Year 2 maths curriculum that your child has not yet grasped. In my opinion, this series of books is one of the best available for matching the high-expectations of the National Curriculum (2014) and the question types included closely resemble those found in standardised tests. Please note that this is a question book only and does not include 'how to' guides for meeting the objectives. For that you will need the CGP Y3 Targeted Study Book.

Not impressed
I am a teacher and being honest KS2 is starting stages of foundation for kids and children all come at different levels.Content is good as such but presentation is basic, in this day of age kids like more interactive stuff, more colours more entertaining in short anything that they enjoy. We don’t want our kids to be stressed. We want them to enjoy learning each step of their way.Hope that help and sorry if I sounded critic but as a teacher I really always want to give maximum feedback so things can be improved.
