Anti-Residue Clarifying Shampoo, Gentle Non-Irritating Clarifying Shampoo to Remove Hair Build-Up & Residue, 12 fl. oz

The first picture is taken after my hair air-dried after I used this shampoo. The second picture is after my hair air-dried after I used my regular shampoo, the OGX volumizing shampoo. My hair is always frizzy even if I glue it to my head with hairspray, so just ignore that. My hair is fine - not thin, I have lots of it, the follicles just aren't thick - so I use volumizing shampoo to give my ED hair a lift and make it have a little more bounce and shine. This Neutrogena shampoo does a great job cleaning off the build-up and it smells really nice. I got it 25 September and I use it every Sunday to refresh my hair. If my hair has too much buildup, I'll use it again the next day or again sometime in the week. I've also used it twice in one day for excess buildup or gunk and it works really nicely like that too. I've not noticed any damage to my hair outside of my own poor hair care routine. I don't know what reaction some people are having to the ingredients, but I've not had any problems. I honestly love it. No damage to my hair or any hair loss, doesn't weigh it down, doesn't burn, itch, or sting, it removes the buildup, it smells great, and my hair is super soft when it's all dry. I highly recommend if you want to get rid of the buildup.

I needed a true clarifying shampoo before doing a keratin treatment. I did two lathers with the shampoo to make sure the hair shaft was stripped of oil and build-up... and it sure worked! I don't use much product on my hair, and I STILL felt a dramatic difference. It was like this shampoo cut straight through any built up oils and grime. I only did the second lather to make extra sure before I did my keratin treatment. Yes, it does have a rather strong scent. I would NOT say it's an unpleasant smell. The aroma that surrounded me as I lathered was slightly masculine and attractive, like a unisex perfume of notes similar to sandalwood. I would recommend it so much, I've already lent it to a coworker to try! I would NOT recommend it for daily use, or even more than once or twice a week, because it does its job too well and your strands will end up parched.

I use it about once a week and it’s been magical every time. I can go longer between washes after using this shampoo, which I love - my hair is very fine, but there’s a lot of it, and drying it can be a pain. But I have to dry it to give it any kind of life and dry shampoo is a joke my hair chuckles at regularly. I freaking love this stuff. I used to use it years ago and then it seemed like maybe the formula changed and didn’t work as well, so I stopped and no biggie. Lately, I was wondering why my hair was so weighed down and got oily so fast - was thinking maybe I needed to change out my pricey salon shampoo and conditioner (of which I still had plenty), or maybe with age my hair was changing 😫. But one use of this shampoo cleared out so much buildup in my hair, I could go back to my products no problem. Great problem solver!

I've used Neutrogena anti-residue clarifying shampoo for decades. No matter what kind of water I use it with (hard or soft) it provides the deep cleaning I love in one washing and leaves my hair manageable and smelling wonderful! I do use a conditioner afterwards. ----- My only issue with this order was that two of the three bottles I ordered arrived with the caps so loose that the shampoo leaked out EVERYWHERE inside the box!!! I'd say at least 1/3 of a bottle ended up soaked inside the box (irretrievable) ! It sure wasn't fun cleaning it all up either. The product itself is great but the seller or packager needs to be told and be made to make amends. The third bottle cap was slightly loose as well but not enough to spill any.

I have a flaky scalp, I’ve tried every dandruff shampoo out there nothing worked. Then I thought it might be build up at my scalp making it a white oily mess, I ordered so many different shampoos and even made my own baking soda mixture for my scalp which settled it for a day or two. Then I found this product, you use it once a week and let me tell you it’s the only thing that has worked. It took all of the build up out of my hair immediately, out of the shower no white residue was on my comb, I couldn’t believe it I had to write a review. I am a cheap person so I chose this one originally for it’s cheaper price and I couldn’t be happier. This product is definitely worth more then what they sell it for! It’s great! I finally don’t have a gross flaky scalp.

I had been using the Honest company Shampoo + Body Wash - Everyday Gentle. It gave me horrible product build up. I tried washing with just water or using other shampoos to help with the gross feeling in my hair. I saw this product on a Tik Tok and decided to give it a try. It was honestly true to its word! It helped take away that product build up feeling I had been dealing with for 2 months. The first wash it didn't lather, but when I did a second wash my hair lather real good. My hair did feel dry after washing the product away but I continued with a conditioner. Once my hair dried I was SOOO HAPPY that gross build up went away. I think one more use in 2 weeks my hair will be back to what it was before using the Honest company shampoo.

Oooh I love this stuff. Move to the desert with really hard water and it's been awful to my hair. You can feel the buildup whenever you touch the scalp. It's really pretty gross. This shampoo completely removes it! I don't try to use it everyday because I get the feeling it would be drying. So every 2-3 days maybe. The ingredient list isn't "impressive". It doesn't come with a million fancy sounding additives that they put in tiny quantities in other shampoo to sell it. SlS is like the first ingredient. But dude who cares. The stuff works!!! Also it smells kinda spicy. Makes me think of nature's gate shampoo from years ago (can't find the original anymore). But it's really really good for fighting against gross hard water scum in your hair.

This shampoo is always amazing. After washing it and the next day when you use your favourite shampoo, it makes your hair silky soft. It really removes all the residues to make your favourite shampoo works better.

BEST SHAMPOO FOR OILY HAIR. I have been searching everywhere for a good shampoo fit oily hair and omg my hair used to get oily 3 days after showering but not my hair stays nice for up to a week
