After 8 years of very heavy use, it finally started to break down, and I began my search for a new backpack. Naturally, I was biased toward Dakine, and I was looking for a backpack with lots of space, and a good compartment for my laptop.The numerous compartments in this bag have given me the space and organization I need for all of my things. The laptop compartment is also big enough for my laptop (a little over 15in), and I also appreciate the fact that the laptop sleeve is elevated from the bottom of the bag (no need to worry about damaging your laptop by setting your bag on the ground too hard). From what I can tell so far, this bag is just as sturdy as my last one, and should last me for years to come.If I had one complaint, it would be the spacing between the shoulder straps. I have always thought I had fairly broad shoulders for a woman, but these straps are just a little too wide for my shoulders.
