Melnor Multi-Adjustable Watering Set, 1800 Sq Ft: 3 Sprinklers, 2 Hoses

I got tired of moving a traditional sprinkler around the yard to water everything, so I bought several of these kits and created a dedicated sprinkler system around the yard that is connected to the house faucets. Now the grass, flowers, shrubs, and trees all get watered at once. The sprinklers and accompanying hoses were easy to assemble and I like that the heads support 0-360 spray and can also be rotated to angle the spray as needed. One thing to keep in mind is that the water pressure from your house faucet affects the amount of water each sprinkler will use and the more you link together the weaker each sprinkler will get. I found the first 2 had the best spray pattern and water pressure and it continued to gradually reduce with each additional sprinkler. You can play around with the settings on each sprinkler depending on how many you use together to figure out how much water you want to come out of each. I have five hooked up together to one faucet with the first three watering my yard and the last two watering smaller portions of flowerbeds with reduce water spray. These are way better than moving a traditional sprinkler around the yard. Recommended!

Husband complained about the spots we kept missing when we water. So I got this! Took ME 10 minutes to set up and get the water correct! Now my hours of moving the sprinker and missing spots are over! We are both happy with the results.. it covers alot of area! My only concern and I'll come back to update is how long it will last as we have hard water and harsh summers where we live and this is plastic

Update: about one week after emailing Melnor via Amazon, I received 3 new sprinkler spikes shipped to my door. Updating review to 4 stars from 3 because of their response. These would be perfect if the stake was metal (or at least more durable plastic). These have been very helpful as a more cost effective way of watering our lawn after our automatic system failed. You can’t find other systems that don’t shoot water high in the air but will cover a large area and are adjustable just like an automatic in ground system. I wish I could afford more so I don’t have to move this system around the yard but then it would be left out in the heat and I don’t think it would last very long. My biggest gripe is the stakes are bending and starting to fracture. I’ve only had it two months. I live in the desert and only have half a yard of grass but it still requires this system to be moved a few times. I pull it up and wash it off, drain it, and put it inside until the following evening so it’s not left outside in the heat. This will not last two years which is what the warranty is. I’ve sent an email to Melnor about it. I have not heard back. Maybe because it’s only fractured and not broken yet. I hope I don’t have to buy the replacement heads that are available when there’s supposed to be a warranty. I’m still figuring out why some heads water close to the head itself and others have a gap of grass that doesn’t get very wet right next to the head. I like being able to get larger areas with the 360 degrees setting and then the edge of grass with 180 degrees setting on other heads. The ability to change the amount of water to each head is impotant because then you can get water where you need it, even on the last one in the line. It makes it so I can cover just about every inch of grass and get water around some trees and to the edges but not on the sidewalks, in a more time efficient manner. (I’m not getting up at 4 AM to do it, like the automatic system). Melnor: please consider making metal stakes with all the adjustments of this one for an above ground system. Especially adjustable flow between the heads.

Great product! I will share that you have to finagle it a little bit to get it right. To preface this I am using this to water my backyard. I bought this setup thinking that I would have optimal coverage of my backyard and while the setup was exactly I expected I ended up ordering another single sprinkler to have 4 total. I have to say from reading some of the reviews I have no issues with coverage, yes do you lose some distance in how far 1 sprinkler will go but that is common sense in my opinion. There is also a lot tied to the water pressure coming our of your hose as well. I adjusted the flow rate with the on/off valves a bit here and there at each sprinkler and I am getting at least 15 - 20 feet from 4 sprinklers on 1 hose line. Completely satisfied with this and I am about to order another set of three to cover the other half of my backyard. A sprinkler system for my backyard for under $150 total, that is a win in my book!

As a parent with kids constantly playing in the yard, this Melnor adjustable spike sprinkler bundle has worked okay but definitely has some limitations. When it arrived, the packaging was secure and everything matched the listing, with bright colors that make the pieces easy to see in the grass. Setup was simple, and the adjustable sprinklers give decent coverage for nearby areas, which has been useful for keeping parts of the lawn and play space watered. However, once the full hose length is used, the water pressure noticeably drops, and the last sprinkler in line doesn’t get strong, consistent flow. The spike stability also isn’t the best—between kids running around and slightly uneven ground, the sprinklers tend to lean or shift easily, which affects coverage. Because of the pressure loss, I’d strongly recommend getting the hose extensions or running shorter sections if you want better performance. Considering these issues, the value for money isn’t great compared to other options, especially if you end up needing extra parts to make it work well. I shared my experience in a local parent group on social media, and others mentioned similar issues, agreeing it’s fine for small areas but not ideal for larger yards or high‑pressure needs.

I needed to find a way to water my newly laid sod without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I tried an oscillating sprinkler, but after two days of running around the back yard, moving the sprinkler, and trying to adjust the flow for each section of the lawn, I gave up and returned it. It was the same brand as this set but leaked inconsistently so that I never got a controlled soak. This set of three sprinklers can be configured to many shapes. You get three sprinkler heads, two 15 ft. hose portions, a quick-connect adapter, and all the fittings to hook them together. Each sprinkler head can be adjusted up to 360 degrees and aimed to direct spray in the desired direction. You turn on the water to adjust the distance that they spray. I purchased two sets so I can water both sides of my yard (pool between the sides) without having to move anything. Now that they are set up, I just turn the water on, tell Alexa to set a timer, and go about my business. The time needed to water the lawn has been reduced by 90%. The only thing I don't like about these sprinklers is that they are plastic and that the plastic seems soft. I was worried that I had cross-threaded a couple of the heads but they are not leaking...so far. Time will tell if they hold up. But if they don't and I can get my lawn re-established before they fail, I will have protected my much larger investment for about $80. Five stars for convenience and ease of use.

This works so great in my garden beds. I've tried other systems but melnor worked the best We put a hose through PVC pipe and trenched a path from the spigot to the raised bed, then hid it in the ground and added a timer. Perfect and we don't have to move a hose when mowing

I waited a month or so to give me time to use it before I reviewed it. The first issue is connecting the hoses. I contacted customer service to be sure I wasn’t missing something because the hose would just not connect with the spikes. The reason being is there were 2 washers in each. You cannot connect the hose until you remove one of the washers. So I figured this was a minor thing and installed it. The first time it worked wonderfully, I was very pleased. The next time the area it seemed to cover seemed smaller even though I hadn’t changed anything. By the third and fourth time, the first spike was the only one that was working close to normal. The other two were basically spitting water here and there and weren’t covering any ground but the ground right below it. I double checked each time to make sure it was setup correctly and it was. I’m glad it was only $40, I’ll be throwing it away.

Its a decent enough sprinkler for quick setup. However if you are combine 2 sets back to back the pressure drop is too much
