I am thinking of buying this product and was wondering if the stepper motor/driver has an output channel to read out the motor position?

No. There isn’t an encoder. I added a micro-switch to the system to create a “home” position.

How would you power this motor?

Motor voltage is 24V, in addition, stepper motor driver is required

So far so good. Zero slop. Holding a pretty significantly sized laser without issue. 100mm is actually ~100mm of travel and not just overall length. Solid z axis for laser engravers. I do swap over to a much larger z axis for CNC work, but I am sure this would be good for light duty milling
