YOUCAT: Youth Prayer Book

Any of the Youcat materials are good. I have purchased numerous copies of this book to give out to youth, adults, and especially prison inmates with whom I serve as a priest. The prayers in here are very diverse. This is a good resource for any Catholic.

Here's what I really like about the Youcat: Youth Prayer Book1. Its prayers come from a diverse set of sources, both contemporary and ancient, as well as culturally.2. The prayers are meaningful, relevant to today's youth, and are neither trite nor patronizing.3. The length of each day's prayers is just about right.4. Especially intriguing are the quotes found in the gray sidebar columns: they are wise and thought-provoking gems from several mystics, philosophers, theologians, and writers.5. The book is simple, yet attractive in its layout: the pictures and graphics are nice without being distracting.I'm a teacher at a Catholic high school and I use this book with my students. I've also found it spiritually uplifting in my own prayers.

This is one terrific Prayer Book. It is beautifully constructed with outstanding paper quality and photographs.This volume is excellent for youth, but as an oldtimer, I love it!Beautiful prayers and wonderful notes and info.This is my favorite of the many prayer books I own.Excellent binding and secure pages.Perfect size to go anywhere.Extremely well done.I hope maybe they come up with a Volume II.

I am a CCD teacher and I just love this youth prayer book. I teach kinder CCD so I can't incorporate a whole lot of it in my classes, but I personally enjoy reading it for my own spiritual enrichment. The format is very straightforward and concise. I LOVE all YOUCAT products! There is ALWAYS something new to learn about the Catholic faith.

I give high marks to Youcat Prayer book and have found it very helpful to young people who I work with. It has been a great gift to give at graduation and commencement time and the feedback from the recipients has been very positive. I am hopeful that it will assist those especially discerning God's will for them.

All went well and I was happy to receive it! The book is a good one, not quite what I thought, but I will use it.

This is a nice prayer book for today's teens.

wonderful companion to the YouCat. I was so excited when this and the YouCat Study Guide came out. I loved the YouCat, but when they come along with more books to help our youth on their adventure how can we do wrong in our encouragement?

Excellent catechism which can be used successfully with teenagers or adults. Teenagers love the stick men and the catechism is crucial as a reliable reference for finding true answers to discussions on anything from prayer to controversial moral issues.

A beautiful prayerful book easy to read and great for all ages, but particularly the teenage years for which it is designed.

quick delivery excellent prayer book

I had given a gift of the Youth Catechism "YouCat" to one young member of our family, and wanted another for another. Amazon's web site listed only one product entitled "YouCat" and so I ordered it.Beware! It was this book - NOT the excellent YOUTH CATECHISM! This seems OK, but IMHO the importance of prayer is in addessing oneself to God, not wading through hundreds of pre-digested prayers. It is, however, well presented and may appeal to a younger group than I was buying it for (16-18you group).
