Review: Back to Keppi after years of use — great flavors, but know the electrolyte profile - I originally started using Keppi electrolyte powder three or four years ago after gastric bypass surgery, when I discovered that I suddenly could not stand drinking plain water. I started with the Lemon Lime and loved the extremely tart flavor. I also liked that it was sugar-free, uses stevia and monk fruit rather than sugar, and gave me a way to add electrolytes while trying to stay hydrated in the Florida heat. For a long time, I put a scoop in practically every bottle of water I drank. Eventually I took a closer look at the electrolyte amounts and realized this formula is quite different from many electrolyte powders. Each scoop contains **1,000 mg of potassium and 135 mg of magnesium, but only 10 mg of sodium**. While low sodium may sound automatically better, sodium is also an electrolyte, and I decided I didn't want this to be my only electrolyte source—especially with an active lifestyle in Florida. I switched to another brand with considerably more sodium, but eventually ran into the opposite problem: I was putting that powder into three to five 22-ounce bottles every day and realized I probably didn't need that much added sodium either. I've now come full circle and use a combination. I rotate Keppi with my higher-sodium electrolyte powder, regular water with simple flavor enhancer, and sometimes just plain water. For me, that gives me more variety in both flavor and electrolyte content instead of getting a large amount of the same minerals in every bottle. I've now tried three Keppi flavors: **Lemon Lime:** Still my favorite. It's VERY tart and sour, which I absolutely love, although it may be too intense for someone who prefers mild flavors. It really wakes up my taste buds, and sometimes the flavor itself feels refreshing when I'm dragging. **Blue Raspberry:** This surprised me! Blue raspberry normally isn't one of my favorite flavors, but this is easily my second favorite Keppi flavor. It isn't overwhelmingly sweet and has a really nice blue raspberry taste. I'll definitely buy this one again. **Mango:** Pleasant, but sweeter than I personally prefer. Because Lemon Lime is so tart, I expected the other flavors to have a similar sourness, and Mango definitely doesn't. I likely won't reorder this particular flavor, but I'm interested in trying Peach Mango because I'm hoping the peach changes the flavor profile a little. Overall, I'm very happy to have Keppi back in my hydration rotation. I don't think using three to five scoops every single day was the best choice **for me**, considering how much potassium that adds up to, but I really like the formula as one part of my hydration routine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for Keto Flu Relief

I started clean keto again after some years of feeling like life was too hectic to stick to a diet. Totally forget about keto flu where your body starts going through carb withdrawal symptoms. So I was looking for an easy way to get my electrolytes in balance to fix the carb detox symptoms, there are a lot of big go-to brands that seem to be trusted (Ultima, Redmond Re Lyte...) but I just couldn't around the fact that every drink mix product had minerals with %DV values in the single digits. Like how many scoops of this until I'm closer to 100% of recommended daily value because obviously when you're doing keto 5% won't cut it. This product was the least expensive and also had higher amounts of those critical minerals like magnesium and potassium -- didn't care about the sodium as much because I can add table salt to my foods easily. The flavor is okay but no one is expecting awards in taste for a keto friendly hydration drink. As long as I add sufficient water then I don't have any problems with the drink blending, I put it in a bottle with ice water and shake it up and it's good. Got rid of my nausea on the first day so I think it works.
