This original brush is larger than the one I ordered (and am reviewing) and its bristles are clear - not black. The smaller brush certainly gives more curl and volume BUT I'm extremely disappointed with the amount of bristles that fall out with each use. I would expect this problem to lessen or go away after daily use for almost two weeks. Needless to say, this is not happening.
