Just tonight I caught 6 flying squirrels in the roof, no more than 10-15 minutes each, using peanut butter bait. The thing about peanut butter is they have to stay there to eat it. Other bait, like seeds, dog kibble, cheese, and hot dog slices, they can pick it up and carry it away, often without triggering the trap.
