Reviving an old Netbook - this works nicely
I found an old netbook at a pawnshop for $20. It worked but not well. I had the exact same one in 2009 when they were brand new and I loved that old thing - still have it in fact, but wanted another one for... stuff...Anyway, got it home, found out it only had 512k - so got a 1gb ram (max out) and did the tear down to get it in. I should note I gave this 5 stars for "easy to install" - it's not the rams fault that you have to basically disassemble the machine to get to the ram slot. Once you get there, it just snaps in, though...Swapped this, the battery, put an SSD drive in it, and it is a great little appliance type tool for about the cost of a new tablet. And it will run Linux great as well as Win10.

High quality RAM at a great price!!
I ordered this RAM for my daughter who has an older Macbook. The RAM came in VERY quickly and was exactly as I ordered. I have heard that OWC has some of the best products on the market, and I wasn't disappointed with the memory upgrade kit.The installation is quick and very easy. The memory itself doesn't come with any installation instructions, but just refer to the Apple website or do a quick search for how to install the memory. It will require a coin (to unlock the battery) and a VERY small phillips screwdriver. The installation took less than five minutes, and after install the computer functioned flawlessly and recognized the new RAM with no issues. I highly recommend OWC products for all your computer needs.

Fits A1811 macbook
Used to upgrade my old Macbook and repurpose it as a Linux machine. Fits A1811 perfectly - although Apple officially only supports 4 GB on these models, tinkerers have discovered that the MoBo will actually take up to 6 GB without issues (beyond that, performance nosedives). This mismatched combination (4 + 2 GB) is the perfect solution to the problem I had, and this is why I bought it. Works great! My machine running Lubuntu can see/use all 6 gigs no problem.

Great Quality Memory
easy to install and my 8 year old MacBook is working better than ever. (I also upgraded my hard drive at the same time.) The OWC memory was a good cost effective upgrade. We will do my wife's MacBook Pro next. It's working great with no issues or error codes.

Great memory, just make sure system can support both sticks
Worked very well. Only issue I had was could not use both in the old laptop I was putting it in due to laptop not supporting more than 2Gb of ram.

Double RAM for a MacBook - that actually works!
We’ve all bought computer memory that ended up not being compatible- especially for a Mac. I always buy my RAM from OWC because they provide very good instructions and certified memory. This was a quick upgrade that really made a performance improvement.

Works on an old HP laptop
Works for former Windows machines too. Got an old HP laptop that needed DDR2 SODIMM RAM and it brought it back to life. Easily installs into the 2 slots. Time will tell if the sticks are reliable, but so far so good.
