Was so happy with this set, so much easier to use for sprouting seeds! Easy to clean. The plastic lids are much better than using the metal lids for drainage.(no rust around the rim of jar) Jar racks are great too! Such a great set for the price!

There are better options but these are good for the $$ spent.

The jar stands and metal lids are fantastic. I have a jar of sprouts growing on my counter top at all times now. After 6 months of use the metal lids are still rust free. I found that cleaning is easier with a bristled utensil rather than a sponge. I didn’t like the plastic lids. Water does not flow freely into the jar with the lid in place. I had to remove the lid every time I rinsed the seeds. The lids don’t have a snug fit with a wide mouth Mason jar and despite all of my tapping and shaking, there was always a cluster of seeds around the rim of the jar when I removed the lids. Seeds and sprouts would spill all over the counter top. I gave up on the plastic lids pretty quickly. I could water directly through the mesh on the metal lids and avoid the mess, so those are the only ones I use now.

The metal screen mesh tops are great for sprouting. The green ones are not so great. Of the four, one of them was warped and doesn't quite sit right on the Mason jar. All the green ones have holes that are not quite big enough, so to rinse your sprouts and release the water, you have to shake them up which can be damaging to the sprouts in progress. The little holders are okay but a little bit flimsy. If I were going to get serious about sprouting, I would probably want something of higher quality.

I was thinking of returning them, it was difficult to find the jar for these lids, I finally found then in GIANT Supermarket.

I like the 3 silver lids, they work well. The plastic green lids have holes that are too small so you can't fill jar through lid which then it must be removed and they do not fit quite write so are difficult to screw on and off the jar. I prefer another brand which has 4 legs on the lid so you just turn the jar upside down to drain. No stands to deal with and these lids fit the jars well with perfectly sized holes.

All the SS tops rusted! The plastic tops are hard to get water in the jar for rinsing, tho Pours out ok.
