Review: Surprisingly Great Pack - This was surprisingly comfortable for a cheap backpacking pack. I have done several long-distance trails (AT,PCT,CDT) with true backpacking packs like Osprey, Hyperlite Mountain Gear, and Gregory. This was a last second purchase for a quick 30-mile trip with some friends. It was light, cushioned, and I did not get any hot spots. I packed it pretty heavy and did not get any tears or rips in the seams. It had a bunch of hidden pockets which was pretty cool. There was a separate sleeping bag compartment and a small rain cover compartment on the bottom for quick access. The hip pockets were big enough to hold a phone, camera, pocket knife, snack, and the swayer filter for quick access. The side pockets are big enough for two 1.5L water bottles- or a Big Agnes tent in one pocket and a huge water bottle in the other. Don't think I would take it on a trip longer than two weeks, but it's a decent pack for a scout or shorter backpacking trip.

**Q: Has anyone tried to use this bag as a carry on?**
A: Good for a carry on as long as you stay with a 50L bag and no larger. It’s the same size as a medium duffel bag. The bag is soft so it can be scrunched, squeezed or pushed into a space. If over pack, a good suggestion is to pack a small-medium foldable duffle bag in your bag so you can take out any excessive items and put them in there for the under seat compartment. Fits enough for up to seven days of clothing (if you roll your clothes or vacuum seal). Will fit laptop as well if you pack along the back strap side (easy pull in an out for TSA). I prefer this bag as my go to carry on as it has fit on even the smallest commercial planes. Just throw it on your back and go!

**Q: Does it have a pocket for a water bladder**
A: Yes, It does have a "laptop sleeve" on the inside of the main compartment which can hold a bladder where the hose can be fed out of the top of the bag and hooked to an attachment on the front right shoulder strap.

**Q: Does it have an internal frame?**
A: Dear,  it haven't an internal frame

**Q: Is it waterproof**
A: Not at all waterproof.  It does come with a nice rain cover which can wrap all around the outside of the bag.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Remarkably good for the price, could use more/better distributed compartments

I bought this after much thought, research and comparison to use in my Camino Francés hike. Most experienced hikers tend to recommend far more expensive brands and models, which were not within my budget. I was, therefore, very pleasantly surprised at how good this backpack turned out to be, and how well it performed. The material used is good quality, and the stitching is strong and well finished. I didn't pack it too heavily; kept it at about 8kg or so, but kept it fairly full with bulky items, such as a sleeping back, jacket and a change of clothes, plus food and two bottles of water. The bag was easy to pack, the various straps easy enough to understand and adjust, and after some experimentation, the weight distribution ended up being very good, and the pack was comfortable to wear for up to 6 or 7 hours of hiking per day. While using it, I found that the position of the water bottle holders made it very difficult to take the bottles out and put them back without removing the backpack, so that has some room for improvement. The bottom zippered compartment for holding shoes works, but it is a bit small. My shoes are size 9 US, and they were a tight fit. The compartment becomes almost unusable if you have packed the bag tightly and try to fit the shoes last. So if you're going to use it, make sure to pack the shoes first, then pack the rest. The only other issue I had was that I kept wishing that there were more outside pockets to store small items without having to take the bag off, open it and dig inside. The little pockets on the hip straps are nice and handy, but rather small. The bag is pretty water resistant by itself. With the rain cover included, it is as good as any more expensive brands. When hiking under heavy rain, I also had my ample poncho convering the whole thing, and the content of my backpack never got even slightly damp. Overall, I am pleased with the backpack and will use it again on my next hike. Considering the price, I think it is a hard-to-beat deal.
