Works for me! No splashing and catches yucky food particles.
I overflowed the kitchen sink. I ruined the kitchen floor. It was a mess and we're still dealing with it. It was because my sink strainer was inadvertently closed and the water couldn't go down so it filled the sink then overflowed. it was my fault for mistakenly leaving the water on but I decided after that to replace the strainer with the thing in the middle to plug the holes with a strainer that couldn't do that again. I don't ever need to fill my sink. I use a dishpan for that.This stainless steel strainer works fine for me. It fits my kitchen sink's drain hole perfectly and water goes down fast. The holes are big enough that even water running hard and long will be able to drain and yet it catches food particles and other stuff that clogs up the sink. I also like that it doesn't allow water to splash. The old strainer I had, had a knob in the middle and the water stream hit that and caused water to spray all over. This one is streamlined and simple.Removing it to clear it out is very easy and it fits perfectly in my sink. I like that I got two in a pack. Some people have double sinks although I do not. I will use the second one as a back up. It does not fit my bathtub drain. I have had no issues at all with this strainer and am happy with it. If it doesn't tarnish or anything, I will be delighted. For now, I am going with 5 stars. if I have issues later on, I will update and rerate.

Great stainless steel strainers
This package comes with two (2) sink strainers made of Stainless Steel and measure 4.5 inch overall diameter that fits most kitchen sinks. When it is full you can easily tip the contents into the bin without hanging on the handle. but the raised wave in inner mesh makes it very easily to use and replace. We used to have those plastic ones but they turned yellow over time and I didn't just didn't like how they look on the sink. The water flows great thru them so no problem there and since the wholes are small, no good goes thru them nor utensils or anything else, except water like it should. Been using mesh kitchen strainers and while they do block pretty much everything possible, we cook a lot of foods that require oil and grease and all that did was just clog up the drain. Great strainer - fits and is stainless steel
We use this in our kitchen sink drain openings and gave one to our daughter. Best kitchen sink strainer we have found. We used several plastic ones in the past. It appears to be well made. We have used it for about six months.

Not for all kitchen sinks
Depending on your kitchen sink, it may fit. Also very difficult to clean because small pieces of food get stuck in the little hoes. You have to make sure you clean it on the daily or before every use.

Excellent quality and value
These are very good quality. Completely cover the lip of the sink drain like they should. Many are thinner, cheaper and flimsy and don't come close to proper fit. I have bought different ones over the years and these are among the best I've seen. No rust either. Very pleased and a great value.

Made Well and Works Great
I had a stopper type strainer so that anything that was in the sink when removed would try to go down and clog up my sink. I needed something different to catch the crap while it was in the sink. I purchased this 2 pack to do just that. The hole are small enough to catch the food and particles but large enough to allow the water to go through. It is a stainless strainer and made very well. It works great

THESE ARE PERFECT. I have a busted garbage disposal :( and a fiance who isn't in a hurry to fix it.... These have been a life saver. Easy to dump into the trash and wash in the dishwasher. I'm considering getting them as stocking stuffers for people. They're SO nice.... There are a lot of things you aren't supposed to PUT DOWN the garbage disposal (as I have found out....)

Perefct fit, look great
Looks terrific and really dress up my older sinks. Great fit and prefer the flat rims as opposed to the ones with an edge bump that make it harder for bits of food to wash down into it from the sink. Perfect fit too, for the 4.5" wide drain edge to edge. Somuch nicer and lcearer looking than the old mesh ones I had!
